If Newsom dares to run, you will see every underhanded dealing in the Palisades and Malibu bubble up.

He's a repub. Spaz hates repubs. Now what do you have against JD Vance?
Very, very, very true.If 2028 were to be a Newsom/Vance matchup it would continue our two party race to the bottom.
As would a Vance candidacy gut the GOP on any value.Very, very, very true.
If the Dems run Newsom, it will be final proof that they have learned absolutely nothing.

I keep seeing a lot of the left on social media touting Gavin Newsom as the next great thing in Democratic presidential prospects. The truth of the matter is that he's been a terrible governor and has abysmal approval ratings, even worse than Trump's. If 2028 were to be a Newsom/Vance matchup it would continue our two party race to the bottom.
One, in the past. They had a poll a while back that showed Vance beating every single top name democrat mentioned.

I do expect it to grow worse. Democrats keep defending things tooth and nail that Americans aren't in favor of. That's just plain stupid. One, in the past.
Two, by 1 to 3 points.
Polls now are showing Vance either tied or slightly behind. It will grow worse.

It's rare to see someone miss a point so badly.
- California polls (Berkeley IGS, PPIC, etc.) in 2024–2025 have put his job approval in the 50–55% range,
- He’s the Governor of California, not a national elected official.
Meathead knows Newsom would kick Vance's ass in the debates. It's rare to see someone miss a point so badly.

50-55% ? You've got to be kidding, guessing those that participated in the poll weren't aware of the massive fires in California, the massive failures in trying to defend against the fires, and the massive failures preventing homeowners from rebuilding. The numbers are national. In California specifically, his approval is usually much higher. For example:

Ok. And?
