On Sunday, the HMNZS Manawanui, a $100 million New Zealand Navy survey and hydrograpic vessel, caught fire and sank after running aground on a reef off the coast of Samoa.
It's the first Navy vessel lost by New Zealand since WWII. Thankfully, the 75 crew and passengers were safely evacuated and rescued, although several injuries were reported.
The New Zealand Defense Force said, "Rescuers battled currents and winds that were pushing the life rafts and sea boats toward the reefs, and swells made the rescue effort particularly challenging."

A Court of Inquiry is looking into the incident, and "the New Zealand response was focused on supporting the Samoan Government to understand possible environmental impacts from the incident and reduce those as much as possible, with teams from across multiple agencies involved."

People who get angry at this are not generally angry at women, per se.
They're angry about the war on competency going on in the West. And it is going on nearly everywhere.
People are sick of being put in positions of having to keep their mouths shut and pretend they’re ok with deviants being in charge. My guess is the crew let the dyke sink the ship.
I think, the most egregious thing about DEI, those who CAN perform are tainted by that. And there isn’t any easy way of getting around it.
Rge next question that is asked in this case, will the New Zeland Naval authorities bend over backward to exonerate Capt. Bolyard?

Well....merit based should ignore any other factors but talent and ability. However DEI thumbs the scale towards outliers. Ergo the selection process moves away from vital skills and produces less talented graduates who often get selected by identity politics.
