New Pope Is A Commie

He's just preaching what the bible preaches.... help the poor and downtrodden. The bible doesn't have many passages that pertain to it being important to be wealthy. Something about passing through the eye of a needle or something.... Perhaps he refers to the reality of the situation in America and other parts of the world...I got mine to heck with you. Just saying. Reality.

I know I'm guilty of this but why post this same ridiculous thread all over the Internet?

Pope Francis is in no way a communist. All one has to do is understand what communism is and can be found @
a political theory derived from Karl Marx, advocating class war and leading to a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs.

He is, however, a Christian!
5:42; "Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away."

Something called charity.

All Pope Francis is proclaiming as that, as Christians, it is our duty to help the needy from their place and help them to find their way to a better life. And he stresses YOU - not government.

Why didnt you bother to read the article, which contained this:
Pope Francis on Friday renewed his call on global leaders to redistribute wealth from the rich to the poor.
Does that sound liek he's calling on people to give charity? Or does it sound like he was telling governments to start taking people's stuff?

Not surprising considering where he's from. That part of the world thinks other peoples fortunes belong to them.
I take it you are opposed to my proposal that IRS confiscates all personal assets in excess of twenty million dollars and imposes a progressive 91% tax rate -- even if it means restoration of economic stability, preservation of the middle class, an end to unemployment, and repair of the Infrastructure.

If you decide to reply, please include some commentary re: your feelings about the following:

Anyone with more than 2 funcitoning brain cells would be opposed to that piece of shit idea. Only a birdbrain would think it would accomplish anything other than destroying this country.

Healing is good. Helping the homeless is good. Feeding the hungry is good. Legislating Christian ideals goes against the separation of church and state clause (you know ... the clause you and your Comrades wave in our face on a daily basis), on the other hand. Therefore, helping folks in need should come from the Bible and the heart ... not the law-books.

Now if you're all about legislating morality then you would have nothing against living under a Theocracy -- right?

It's nice to watch liberals defending the Pope and they can even do it without calling him a "nutter".

LOL. They're in a Catch 22, dilemma. On the one hand, they insist that morality should be legislated and they agree with the Pope while, on the other hand, they're dead set against Christians getting involved in government. Why? Because they're opposed to Christians legislating morality. LOL.:lol::lol:

So fun to watch though.

Well something has been destroying the middle class, the backbone of the US for over 30 years with flat wage growth.
Funny how the decline of the middle class coincides with recessions that last longer than previous recessions due to the fact that the consumer class has less expendable income. Less expendable income means a weaker consumer driven economy.
Who determines their wages? Who chooses to ship jobs offshore? Who benefits from flat wages? And why isn't trickle down economics obviously working?

**** this Commie Pope crap!

We need a Pope who is a Capitalist. One who understands the value of a dollar. A Pope who understands that the poor are that way for a reason and that the rich are Gods favorites....thats why they are rich

A Pope that understands that the poor are moochers with cellular phones!

a) What do you know about bng a true Christian, whatever that means?

b) How do you help people by taking their stuff?

c) How do you help people by giving them stuff they could earn on their own, thus producing indolence and dependency?

Here's a great Christian verse that helps your case:

2 Thessalonians 3:10, "For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat."

The Christian God expects folks to earn a living. He also expects able bodied folks to help them who are incapacitated; aged; or orphaned.

Get ready for a scathing attack on Thessalonians

Yes, one verse out of context is an attack on Thessalonians.

Pope Francis is no fool. Faith without works is Dead. Re-distribution by a faithless Government is not the answer.
James 2:14-18
Faith and Deeds

14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”

Yes! If you are saved (born again) believer, you will want to do good works because you are saved not to become saved. Good works saves no one, only JESUS saves.

jesus shaves? who knew

Gillette, Schick, or Remington ? Maybe Dollar-Shave-Club ?

The middle class is doing just fine. Well, not for the last 5 years but we wont go there.
Consumer spending does not drive the economy. Anotehr canard.
Tricle down economics is something you couldn't possibly define, much less talk intelligently about. So just quit it, mkay?

I was a proud supporter of Pope Palpatine. We may never live to see another Pope capable of Force Lightning.

Actually he understands Christ a lot better than conservatives. Jesus Christ spent his time speaking about the plight of the poor. That's what made him so popular.

In fact, I would call him a true Christian.

Did he advocate government forcibly taking people's money and redistributing it? No, I dont recall that anywhere.
So if Jesus was a true Christian I guess that makes the Pope a phony.

Jesus would find the capitalist system we have today and the conservative war against the poor appalling.
You got that right. There's a reason the faithful were not allowed to charge interest on loans for centuries but that would require the Christians to know the history of their faith, which of course they do not.

=kiwiman127;9071154]
Who determines their wages?
Business owners or corporations determine wages based on income vs. overhead. When a government over-regulates and charges excessive taxes, permit fees, and places other burdens on businesses they (businesses) have to compensate by lowering wages or benefits.

Who chooses to ship jobs offshore?
Business owners or corporations must determine if remaining in America is profitable. When the government coupled with the unions cut deeply into business profits they're left with a fundamental decision. Remain in America and go out of business or move overseas and remain in business.

Who benefits from flat wages?
Anyone who would be broke and hungry without a wage.

And why isn't trickle down economics obviously working?
Because the government insists in getting involved in the private sector and the free market. We can all rest assured that when our government touches something with it's untrained, grubby hands that something is going to get screwed up.

No he wouldn't. Jesus wasn't interested in material wealth. When he told the rich man to give up everything he had in order to be perfect he wasn't talking about giving to the poor in a Socialist manner. He was explaining to the rich man that in order to reach God's Kingdom he would have to love God more than he loved money.

But that exact same principle applies to everyone equally. Rich and poor alike are called to love God more than material things. But in a Socialist state, there is no God. So your statement concerning Christ & Capitalism is built on a false premise.

Why are you so concerned about confiscation in excess of twenty million dollars? Like you have a hope in hell of ever being affected by it. I'm always amused by those who don't have a pot to piss in but who defend the super-rich like true Tories.

Recession coinciding with a declining middle class is the result of reduced circulation of a Nation's wealth resources. Circulation of a nation's wealth is analogous to the circulation of blood in a living organism. Impeding that circulation is called "blockage." It causes a decline in general health and eventual death.

Blockages (hoarded wealth) must be removed and circulation restored by any available means.

See, there's the problem. You think it wont affect you because you don't have two nickels to rub together. But you're wrong. Crap policies like that affect everyone, not just the people targeted.
