That is true, and it certainly would have helped if state or local law enforcement had informed ICE he was in prison, and which prison he was in, so they could query the name and check. But instead, they were with the protestors, and were not cooperating at all, in hopes that would make things go smoother I guess.

And it really would have helped if they had called ICE to come pick him up from prison, as well as the fact it might not take a thousand agents to do that.

There is an online database of everybody the state has in prison. It's easier than a google search. You can put in just their last name, and gets all the matches.

You still have to know the person is in prison and which prison they are in.

State and Local law enforcement could have made that a lot easier to confirm, and they didn't.
If they were doing their job they would have notified ICE when they sent his ass to prison in the first damn place.

Protest and the first amendment right to protest, is not to make things go smoother for the gvt...it's to have your objections be noticed and your disagreement with your govt's actions heard by your govt and neighbors, loud and clear... and as non physically painful as possible...via shouting and blocking and noise through gadgets etc....you're protesting, not appeasing to make things go smoother, quite the opposite.
