What isn't up in price? In 1985, I remember when gas hit $1.00 per gallon because I was working at the local gas station. Plugging that into an inflation estimator, I come up with $3.10 in today's equivalent dollars. So current pricing isn't that unreasonable. Some may be due to the shutdown of American production over the past 6 years.

BTW, this is all stupid as far as energy prices. If we were smart, we could manufacture our own fuel for much less than that. But politics interferes with free markets.

And speaking about free markets and innovation, why do we import half of our chicken meat from China when we could produce it here at home?
