Why would you ask about Democratic boat owner? Why does boating seem to be such a political thing?
I would never say all boaters are good boaters… That wasn’t the intent of the thread…I’ve been an avid boater for decades and I’m not sure I’ve encountered a half dozen Democrat voters while on the water…I’m quite fascinated by the fact that basically only Republicans boat…aren’t you? What’s the correlation? Why would you ask about Democratic boat owner?
What percentage of republicans can actually handle a boat?

Or even know when to keep their boat out of the water?

Mark me as an independent, never owning any larger than a Johnboat, and primarily canoes, and white water kayaks for serious back country water and long distance, independent adventures, where you get from point to point with independent effort.I would never say all boaters are good boaters… That wasn’t the intent of the thread…I’ve been an avid boater for decades and I’m not sure I’ve encountered a half dozen Democrat voters while on the water…I’m quite fascinated by the fact that basically only Republicans boat…aren’t you? That is a fact.I remember a close friend of the family telling me many years ago that a boat was a hole in the water you throw money into.
I doubt that.Such is not really recreational ‘boating’ as shown in the images in this thread…hmmm, so maybe independents don’t boat either…you have to admit; it’s quite strange that boating seems to be a Conservative exclusive.

I have been swamp by a barge, without losing the boat. I have broken on canoe, greatly exceeding design limitations (you may get by the laws of man, but the laws of physics are absolute), and it flipped a white water triple walled, Kevlar reinforced, foam filled, totally unsinkable canoe over a rock, where it was pinned by hydraulics, until the white water raft people cam along, jump on it while passing over, attempting to dislodge, but drove one of the struts all the way vertically through all layers of the sidewall. It was an expensive fking day on a class III-IV river. At least they helped me recover what was left and gave me a ride to where I had planned to get out.I've handled them for most of my life.
And never sunk a single one of them.
Wow, that video must have been from years past. I haven't been there since the early 90s, and it is a beautiful lake, but current water levels are only about 26% of full pool and I understand you can't find a boat ramp in the water. Its a shame. Why does boating seem to be such a political thing?
