Navy set to rename USNS Harvey Milk, mulls new names for other ships named for civil rights leaders

I’m not really for or against this, I think Harvey Milk was overrated at best. Sounds like they’re gonna be looking at renaming all the ships that were named under that class of ships.

They should rename it to the USNS Jefferson Davis to please Trump and his cult.

The names of our ships should be intimidating, named after legends in the military, things in military history, presidents, or people who made America the great nation she is today!

It shouldn't scream "hey we're itching to fuck you in the ass!"

Capisce?
It’s a supply and support ship, nothing intimidating about it.

Hegseth is renaming the ship because he's bigoted against gay people. There are far more pressing issues that should be a priority, but this is what magaturds are. 🤷‍♀️

Slimy perverted democrats just don't get the warrior ethos:
"The Warrior Ethos is a set of principles that guide U.S. Army soldiers, emphasizing commitment to the mission, resilience in the face of challenges, perseverance, and loyalty to comrades. It is a way of life that shapes their character and defines their responsibilities both in combat and everyday situations."

So why are the changing the names of the ones named after black folks?

You absolutely do not name warships after civil rights activists! What an absurd idea. Only presidents and great military leaders should get this perk.

I cant imagine that MLK would appreciate a boat designed for inflicting mass death, being named after him anyway. :dunno:

Love that this is being done during "Pride" month.

DEI must DIE

How about Hartwig, the gay dead sailor on the Iowa that the navy tried to blame for the turret explosion.

He [Hartwig] was probably responsible. But AIDS and all that hand wringing over it made the Navy 'apopolgize'.

The MSM was behind trashing the Hartwig story. Why? AIDS and defending homosexuals.

Harvey Milk was a gay pedophile.

Not something we want to be floating to foreign countries.

The leftist cult you belong to, konrad.

Fritz Kuhn was a Nazi activist. But you can't go 30 seconds without calling something or someone a Nazi.

If it breathes, it's a Nazi. Gads, you are so snot-nosed dude. Trump's snobbery is only exceeded by yours.
You’re known by the company you keep.

John Lewis-class oilers are specifically to be named after prominent civil rights leaders and activists. like it or not, I'd say Milk qualifies under that criteria.

Change the name, don't change the name, I couldn't care less. But don't anyone try to pretend that the timing by Hegseth is intended to be anything less than a slap in the face of one segment of the American citizenry.
