Well let's say science is right. The Paris Agreement Trump backed out of, according to scientists, would have done next to nothing about the problem. It would be akin to putting a Band-Aid on a cancer, so why join it?

Now getting back to what really needs to be done according to scientists. What needs to be done is a world wide consensus on global warming. You can't have a country like the US or China ignoring It, everyone has to be on board or the whole thing does not work. How will this be achieved minus a world government of some kind?

Additionally, what needs to be done, according to scientists, will have far reaching effects on the world economy that is based upon fossil fuels. In short, scientists are suggesting that we gut the world economy to save the planet, all under a one unified world government. How will you get the votes?

Naturally, they will feed us the bit about democracy, but in developed countries the votes will not be there. No sane voter will vote to gut their wallet to give it to Joe Shmoe in Haiti, so what will have to be done is either deceive them or force it down their throats.
