A new study out of Israel cites that of all the cases of people having caught Covid since May 2021, less than 1% had caught it before. 40% had the vaccine.

  • Data presented to the Israeli Health Ministry July 17, 2021, revealed that, of the more than 7,700 COVID-19 cases reported since May 2021, only 72 occurred in people who had previously had COVID-19 — a rate of less than 1%
  • In contrast, more than 3,000 cases — or approximately 40% — occurred in people who had received a COVID-19 vaccine
This determines that natural immunity that comes from having caught it and recovered is 700% stronger than the jab.

If they are all Israeli genomes, above, on 14 Jul 2021, we documented this:

’Plasma from previously infected vaccinated individuals displays overall better neutralization capacity when compared to plasma from uninfected individuals that also received 2 vaccine doses, pointing to vaccine boosters as a relevant future strategy to alleviate the impact of emerging variants on antibody neutralizing activity.’

. That may be, but in order to get natural immunity you'd have to have the disease, and since the delta strain is so much more deadly. I'd rather take the shot.

India learned this the "hard way":

While recovered COVID-19 survivors do have some level of natural immunity, they do require a COVID-19 vaccine at this moment. This is because while the levels of antibodies may offer some protection, a vaccine can go over and beyond natural protection and benefit them. It could also benefit those who are immunocompromised, or at a higher risk of reinfection.

Is that why 40% of new Covid infections were in the vaccinated group? and less than 1% in the recovered group?

Yea, how did that work out for polio and smallpox?

Conclusions: This study demonstrated that natural immunity confers longer lasting and stronger protection against infection, symptomatic disease and hospitalization caused by the Delta variant of SARS-CoV-2, compared to the BNT162b2 two-dose vaccine-induced immunity. Individuals who were both previously infected with SARS-CoV-2 and given a single dose of the vaccine gained additional protection against the Delta variant.

So if you don't get severely ill or die from it, the natural protection will protect you better from getting it again. Not worth it in my case, I'm elderly, have survived two bouts of cancer, and have other health conditions. The vaccines are much safer for me. I'm waiting to get my booster shot. Necessary because so many did not get vaccinated.
