You have got to read it all. The dictatorship on the small island of Maldives needs our attention. One person you should definitely paying attention to is a new blog that has just appeared called the MALDIVES FREETHINK BLOG. Check out his latest post, which describes the revolution as being freedom versus the security apparatus. He also makes the distinct comparison between the arrests of the demonstrators and the man who stared down in the tanks in Tiananmen. Just look at the pictures and decide for youself.

The men were then arrested right there in front of 600 supporters, and have reportedly been brutally beaten. Here is the video of the arrest that has sparked a second Black Friday. Remember, thousands of people are now standing up for freedom and the six-term dictator doesn’t want them to have it. We’ve got to help them. Get the news out!

The regime is playing the "China" card, something that regimes from Burma to Zimbabwe will be playing now and in the future whenever we try to pressure them.
It would be great if India would mount an intervention, but highly doubtful.
The people may very well be SOL.
