Make it clear to Lukashenko that NATO has no quibbles about retaliating against him if enters the war against Ukraine.

Move in troops along the the entire border in Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland. Make him worry about a possible invasion, preventing him from sending his forces into Ukraine.

Force him into concessions to stay out of Ukraine. Offer a peacekeeping force to defend Belarus against any would be Russian threats intended to push Belarus to fight Ukraine. Then, move in forces to the Russian border, sealing off Belarus from continuing to be used as a conduit for Putin's invasion.

Belarus is no longer an independent country; I think that is obvious. Their prez functions as a governor for Putin. That is what he wants for the Ukraine, too.

Too late. Belarus has already allowed the Russian troop passage into the Ukraine. They've already committed to alliance with Putin and are considered belligerents

Belarus has a tiny army (48,000,000) which probably didn't look as good as the Russian army in the recent war games.

Lukashenko would have to be an idiot to send his army into Ukraine after the Ukrainian army chewed up the Russian army.

The Ukrainians still have a reserve force in Western Ukraine.

Besides, Lukashenko has enough internal stability problems.

The BIG question is: How scared is Lukashenko of Putin?

Hell they had one that lasted 100 years between France and England.

The ones that are a hundred years long or thirty years long might lower the total number ---

Like The Great War: a lot of people who study the world wars think that it was all one war thirty years long with a 20-year gap in the middle. Because the central problem of the 1914 war was never resolved because Germany was not really defeated, and Germans climbed out of trenches in France and went back to their own untouched homeland leaving a devastated France (so devastated it could not fight at all in the second installation of the war).

So that's the second Thirty-Year-War that we know of.

Yes, but is it a marriage for love, or money? Lukashenko sleeps with Putin because Putin gives him pretty things (i.e. a 20 year lock on power). Not sure there's anything more to it than that, except maybe fear of being slapped around.

The funny thing about the 'Hundred Years War' is that the English won every major battle until the last 10 years or so (Joan D'Arc).

Yet they were never able to control France because the people of France refused to accept them.

It proved that occupations by foreign power never work. You'd think that national leaders would have learned by now....

Why do you like to see Ukrainian cities flattened? Why don’t you want De escalation? They have nukes.. you feminist are to emotional

Yeah let’s escalate this war into a nuclear holocaust, because Ukraine is worth millions of Americans dying for.
President Potatohead supported the bombing of Bosnia, the bombing in Libya, the invasion of Iraq and an escalation of the Afghanistan War so you had better send him a letter telling him your concerns.

And you would love it if he were to attack Russia. We must show Putin who’s boss in his backyard. RIGHT?
