Almost all started with the good intentions of communism/marxism or various forms of socialism. They always start off with these because it captures the desires of the people for a better life. But, when the leaders of these movements actually get power, what happens? Life gets worse. Much worse. Russia, China, Italy, Germany, Cuba, Venezuela, and many others serve as perfect examples. If you really want to avoid fascism and totalitarian governments, stay far away from those who preach Marxism and Socialism. It's a trap.

Why would you want a government that controls even more of our lives? It's already excessive. I think too many people are willing to give up personal freedom for the dream of a government that can give them a better life, but I still haven't seen even one actually accomplish that. Ask yourself a very good question: Why are there so many people who want to immigrate to the US? What are they escaping? They're escaping governments that promise various forms of socialism and deliver misery.
