People just kept walking up giving me and my wife food.

It was odd but also the sweetest thing.

I have many other stories, lost outside of Jakarta, a man paid for my taxi back to my hotel.

In many Muslim countries women are raped for traveling/walking alone....let alone failing to wear a hijab.

Now you're just being silly.
Muslim women aren't raped for not wearing hijab or walking alone.
But just like here in America, a woman could be assaulted if she is walking alone in a bad part of town.
