Agreed, but what do you think would happen? Let's pull out of Europe and watch the following happen:
1. The lavish nanny states go bankrupt. Rioting in the streets as people realize they'll have to work 5 days a week instead of 3 and won't get a month and a half of vacation every year on the taxpayers' dime.
2. European nations start ramping up defense spending as they don't trust Germany and Italy to stay in their borders.
Let's pull out of Asia and watch the following happen:
1. China ramps up defense spending in a bid to dominate the region.
2. Japan ramps up defense spending to keep China at bay and expand their influence.
Yeah, let's pull out worldwide and hunker down. We'd probably be safe from invasion, but the world would likely erupt. After the dust settles and the rest of the world's manufacturing bases are gone, we can relive the 50's and be the big dog on the block again.
Crashing the US ECONOMY in to TOTAL DESTRUCTION and bankruptcy, with his tariffs and super inflation on our backs, our major suffering for years, and by deporting 10 million workers and consumers at once, is NOT in any way a good idea. This is an obvious result, known to everyone with a three-digit IQ.
If you start restraining Federal government spending to reduce the deficit, the first things to go are the Democrat-created giveaways that are wasteful. stupid, and unconstitutional. Things like student loan forgiveness, education grants, housing subsidies, SNAP benefits. The people who rely on those benefits will suffer, and the Media will amplify that suffering for political purposes.
Anyone who is serious about addressing the outrageous budget deficits will have to take the flak from those who enjoy benefits from those programs, and there is no one better situation to attack those programs than Donald Trump. First, he will be a "lame duck" so doesn't care about how it makes people hate him; second, his supporters don't generally draw this sort of benefits; third, he has already schemed with Musk to identify the programs to attack, and Musk has shown that he has no hesitation to do what needs doing, even if some people are hurt.
As for "crash the economy," that is an exaggeration, but the part of the economy that is lubricated with government spending will suffer. As it should.
By CRASHING THE ECONOMY?How dare he want to get govt spending under control!
Of course not. The other country will lose sales as American sales go up. That's the point of tariffs, after all, to erase a trade imbalance and give the host country's companies a better shot at being competitive. The result is higher prices, of course, but haven't we been hearing ad nauseum about those evil corporations sending jobs overseas? This is one way of bringing them back for our robots to do.
The EU would have to spend more on defense because Uncle Sam wouldn't be there. We've already seen how Greece reacted when it became obvious that they couldn't afford the nanny state any longer.Damn. You have one very active imagination.
The EU would be fine without the US bases. Their only "fear" was Russia and now they have been proven to be a paper tiger.
And without us they would have a free hand in controlling the region.China is already ramping up defense spending, in response to us doing so.
We already know how hostilities between the two would go. A lot of people would die. If you think China is only ramping up their defense because we are, I have a bridge to sell you, cheap.Japan is (or was) ramping up defense spending in response to China ramping up spending in response to us.
It would go through upheaval until a new order settled in, probably with Muslim countries having a much greater say in things. It would not, however, continue on the way it is now. Do you think it would? Us playing the world's policeman has gotten us into a lot of bad scrapes, but pulling out would cause upheaval. That's not even controversial.Despite what your beloved party has told you, the world will not turn to shit if the US quits being the world's police force
But seriously, why must we crash the economy for our own good? I'm just not getting it.and i'm not quitting the prescription catnip either. porrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
What beloved party has been complaining about jobs going overseas? I find it funny that you think you can read minds and that I love the democrat party.Yes, your beloved party has been talking about evil corporations sending jobs overseas for years.
Someone has to monitor the automation and program it. No, the days of a man being able to graduate high school, work on the assembly line for 40 years, keep his wife at home, send his kids to college, take a vacation every year and retire at 65 with a massive pension are gone and not coming back. Manual, repetitive jobs are going to be automated if they're done in the US, it's inevitable. It is just talk.
Jobs will not come back to the US.
Deporting millions of immigrants, raising tariffs and cutting $2 trillion from the budget will definitely crash it.Really? Increasing the budget by a smaller percentage will crash it?

When Trumpy was running in 2016 he proposed to eliminate our national debt by given it "a haircut", by defaulting on our obligations. He really did. Like the United States is one of his casinos.Crashing the US ECONOMY in to TOTAL DESTRUCTION and bankruptcy, with his tariffs and super inflation on our backs, our major suffering for years, and by deporting 10 million workers and consumers at once, is NOT in any way a good idea.
The way out of it, as Clinton had done, is cut spending, raise some taxes, give some tax breaks and most importantly, have a BOOMING ECONOMY!
The booming economy brings in higher tax revenues....and higher wages, more income to tax.
This saved us....not the total destruction of the economy, but how well it did.
Everyone can agree spending has to be cut....that was NOT the point of the article, at all!
The point is Trump's economic plan will DESTROY our economy, and that is what Trump and a few billionaires WANT, at our suffering, beyond suffering, for several years, at the hopes of it some day, being better.....
Destroying our economy, weakens us to no end....as well! Be prepared for a Chinese, or Russian invasion and take over!
A bunch of billionaire, waxed cold, idiots....not an ounce of concern or empathy for us, and what this plan to crush the American economy with Trump's tariff and mass deportation plan, to get rid of our debt, likely through bankruptcy, would do to us.
What is going to equal the dot com boom? That's the wave Bubba rode.Crashing the US ECONOMY in to TOTAL DESTRUCTION and bankruptcy, with his tariffs and super inflation on our backs, our major suffering for years, and by deporting 10 million workers and consumers at once, is NOT in any way a good idea.

Notice how no one says this is what Trump will do if he wins the election? Now everyone says this is what Trump will do when he wins the election. He says High prices and economic collapse are the price of the trump agenda.
Are you guys really gonna vote for this just to "own the libs"?
It would be the biggest self-own in history to crash your own country's economy on purpose just to be able to say you won.

I don’t believe the opinion of the lunatic in the OP, Stupid.By CRASHING THE ECONOMY?
We’ve seen this act before (2008)
That doesn't sound like anything I want from my Trumpy. I want the cheap gas and the lower prices that we had under my Trumpy. The economy is my number one issue. Fox hasn't issued the talking points on this topic and I'm confused. He says High prices and economic collapse are the price of the trump agenda.

One more heist before America pulls the plug that keeps neoliberalism on life support. Makes sense."potlatch" conservative logic ;
'we must burn the village in order to save it." gen westmorland
"the economy must crash, about once per generation, in order to confirm the social order" thorstein veblen
or maybe jay gould explained it best :
bears get rich bulls get rich
pigs get slaughtered.
Musk is very out of touch with normal people. He lives on twitter. He lives in a strange little bubble. Not to mention that Musk is the wrong person for the job. He does not think before he cuts.
When he took over Twitter he used "lines of code written" for the basis of firing people, the more lines they had written, the greater chance to be kept on.
This ignores the fact that a better software engineer uses less lines of code for the same results.
I guess libs prefer Harris and happy talk rather than an honest and sober discussion about our economic conditionHe says High prices and economic collapse are the price of the trump agenda.
