Musk says trump will crash the economy for our own good.

Crashing the US ECONOMY in to TOTAL DESTRUCTION and bankruptcy, with his tariffs and super inflation on our backs, our major suffering for years, and by deporting 10 million workers and consumers at once, is NOT in any way a good idea.
Was your life really that terrible under the Trump economy? Are you even listening to what you are saying?

Musk said,

“We have to reduce spending to live within our means,” said Musk, who has pitched himself as the director of a new “Office of Government Efficiency” under a second Trump administration.

He claimed on Friday that he would “balance the budget immediately,” adding that “a lot of people who are taking advantage of government are going to be upset about that” and that he will “probably need a lot of security, but it’s got to be done.”

**************

Musk has the right idea but we should balance the budget gradually rather than trying to do it “immediately”

But otherwise this is good stuff

Notice how no one says this is what Trump will do if he wins the election? Now everyone says this is what Trump will do when he wins the election.
We know what Trump will do with the economy. We saw it in practice for four years. Harris has never had a single private sector job in her entire life. She's never held any executive position in gvt.

I guess libs prefer Harris and happy talk rather than an honest and sober discussion about our economic condition
The right hasn’t been honest about economics for a long time.

I remember how right before the 2012 election, unemployment dropped below 8% and supposedly reasonable Republicans said that the government was taking the numbers to support his campaign.

The right cares more about narrative than data.

Neither Musk or Trump were GOP leaders in 2012

They are looking forward while you are looking backward

America needs to practice fiscal responsibility now rather than waiting for the house of cards to collapse

Conservatives love talking about budget cuts in abstract.

But only in abstract.

Trump has made too many promises to too many groups to make this happen.

We need to freeze the budget at its present size snd gradually reduce it year by year

Even worse, Harris has not spoken a single honest word about the economy since this campaign began. For example, she claims food prices are higher because of "price gouging" and promises to fix it, but we all know prices are higher because of the inflation the US has suffered under the Biden Harris regime, which she promises to continue, so clearly, the only way to fix Harris' imaginary price gouging is to vote for Trump.

It’s the same party full of the same dishonest people promoting the same dishonest narratives for political gain. Trump sure was running his mouth in 2012, and if he wasn’t lying about the economy he definitely was lying about Obama’s birth certificate.

Trump didn’t care about fiscal responsibility last time and he won’t care about it this time either.

Sure. Just as long as you’re okay with deep cuts to your social security and Medicare.

This is not a discussion about our economic condition. It's Trump's solution to it. Crash the economy is the solution to a better future. Imagine that.

"Bidenomics is working" Four years she's chanted this.

Conservatives do always promise budget cuts, but Trump is not an ideological conservative, and when he was President, his focus was on growing the economy faster so that extreme budget cuts would not be necessary.

So, there's no need for all this fearmongering, is there? According to you, we won't have to be responsible, and we'll just keep the party going. Which then begs the question, why are you complaining about somebody wanting to impose fiscal responsibility on everyone?

Yes. Trump promised his tax cuts would cause GDP growth so soar. It didn’t. Now he wants to deport millions of workers.

The economy can’t grow without workers. It’s madness.

No, it's what ideological conservatives like Musk think should be done, but there is nothing from Trump's first term to suggest this is his plan for the economy.

I’m merely pointing out the fundamental dishonest about conservatives. These are not serious people and therefore the wrong people to be in charge.

It’s not like we haven’t seen this song and dance many times over.

One more heist before America pulls the plug that keeps neoliberalism on life support. Makes sense.
my contribution to conspiracy lore ...........

romney, or his partners at bain, figured it first -america as a nation is bankrupt, and is worth considerably more in vast real estate, oil reserves, farmland etc etc etc. as a target of private equity, america was ripe. romney fell a little short, but

enter t boone pickens and his front man on the golden escalator ..............

pickens is dead, but there has never been a shortage of vultures.

nothing here is new. pinochet's chile is their model but this model has been effectively employed "wherever oligarchs are sold"
