Musk rocket crashes again. No casualties

NASA put men on the moon in 1969. The only rocket explosion they had in the Saturn program was a Little Joe that was intending to test the emergency escape rockets, which worked perfectly.

They didn't have to land when they returned. They splashed down back into the ocean. It's a lot easier to simply launch something into space. Bringing it back down without crashing and killing the people inside is a whole different level. Since you know so much, though, with your obvious experience and education in space aerodynamics, why don't you get Elon Musk on the horn and tell him what he's doing wrong?

Anyone surprised to see dembots whining about science exploration and developing new technology?

I am not, these demafascsit are stuck in the stone age.

Landing in the ocean is landing.

Starship HLS isn’t landing anyone on earth. I don’t even think it could make it back to earth if they wanted it to.

Musk isn’t doing anything wrong from his perspective. He’s milking the government for $3-4 billion for the dumbest lander ever devised to subsidize his giant rocket that has very little purpose.

Another irony to listen to the same people who claim to carry the banner on education complain about researching new scientific achievements.

What scientific achievement? The actual scientific advancements coming out of NASA have little if anything to do with manned space flight.

We are burning billions on vanity projects like a huge rocket when we could be maximizing that funding elsewhere.

The man built a system that can capture a skyscraper-sized rocket out of mid-air. What have you done recently?

This you?

China is laughing at this. We aren’t going to maintain any economic edge by taking away from cutting edge research and training more plumbers.

This you?

Yeah. I’d dumb the manned space flight program and put all the money into unmanned scientific programs where we will learn far more for far less.

Giving $3-4 billion to the world’s richest man for something that probably won’t work is really dumb.

Well no one was hurt so thats a big bonus. It must be galling for US taxpayers who are paying for this shit show.
Maybe theu should restrict these pointless launches in case the debris falls on someones head ?
Lets hope its an illegal.
hey tommy how come you dont mention the rockets that came back making a landing?...

At least 20 years away and it always will be.
The last manned mission to land on the Moon was in 69'.

Obama turned NASA into a Muslim outreach program and some kind of bull shit Global Warming program...and ended all manned flights, turning our manned missions over to the Russians.

NASA has been a shit show for decades. When Obama took office, the constellation program was horrendously behind schedule and behind time with no hope to recover with the funding Congress was willing to provide.

Manned space flight is a boondoggle.

They have been testing a new style of heat shield, which is extremely hard to do, as it involves shaping the nose cone so precisely that it cant be off by even a micron anywhere in its dimensions. They could continue with the old style and never have any issues in flight (which is what they currently do for every manned flight), but the old style heat shields require SIGNIFICANT work after each flight, which makes space travel extraordinarilly expensive and not feasible for mass space flights.

Reinventing the wheel comes with a lot of trial and error. I realize that you arent interested in an honest discussion about this (your petty goal is obviously just to shit on Elon), but i figured i would inform you nonetheless. :dunno:
And inform other honest readers here. ;)
