Musk rocket crashes again. No casualties

What good is a lander with no way to get it to the moon?

I swear. The starship HLS is the dumbest fucking contract NASA has ever made. We could have done so much actual science with that $3 billion.

Your MDS is showing, poseur.

Right now NASA is doing the right thing by having multiple parties work to get people back to the moon and to mars.

Sorry, but we are reaching the point where robotic exploration isn't going to cut it anymore.

Robotic exploration is getting more advanced and more successful and human exploration is getting more complicated and more expensive.

The current Artemis architecture is a series of bad decisions stemming from a series of bad politics. It’s a total failure. It needs to be scrapped immediately.

The Starship HLS is but one idiotic design from this idiotic program.

Well no one was hurt so thats a big bonus. It must be galling for US taxpayers who are paying for this shit show.
Maybe theu should restrict these pointless launches in case the debris falls on someones head ?
Lets hope its an illegal.
They have been testing a new style of heat shield, which is extremely hard to do, as it involves shaping the nose cone so precisely that it cant be off by even a micron anywhere in its dimensions. They could continue with the old style and never have any issues in flight (which is what they currently do for every manned flight), but the old style heat shields require SIGNIFICANT work after each flight, which makes space travel extraordinarilly expensive and not feasible for mass space flights.

Reinventing the wheel comes with a lot of trial and error. I realize that you arent interested in an honest discussion about this (your petty goal is obviously just to shit on Elon), but i figured i would inform you nonetheless. :dunno:

What a fucking luddite you are.

People need to explore Space, Machines have done enough for us to this point.

We don’t really need to put people on the moon. We can and do explore space very effectively from here.

And if we did really need to land people on the moon, this has got to be the dumbest plan anyone could have come up with.

But I doubt you understand any of the reasons these stupid decisions were made in the first place.

This is all TDS crap from you. "As long as Trump and Elon like it, I hate it"

No more than the failures NASA suffered in the run up to placing the first man in orbit, putting men on the Moon, and launching mankind first spacecrafts to leave the solar system.

When's the UK going to send a man to the moon to plant their flag? Been over half a century since we did it. The Sun never sets on the American Flag.

I’ve hated the Starship HLS and SLS for years. The whole Artemis architecture was the best NASA could do with the confines of stupid decisions made in Congress.

But it’s particularly hypocritical that you assholes don’t think we have enough money to fund HIV medications for poor African nations but we can give the richest man on the planet billions of taxpayer dollars to build useless exploding rockets for no discernible benefit.

Space exploration is yet another thing the left hates now; along with electric cars, African immigrants, no tax on tips, cutting waste and fraud in the government, prosecuting criminals, and keeping men out of women's bathrooms and showers.

He's not getting money to explode the rockets, he's getting money to design a lander using the developed rocket.

Which isn’t true. The lander requires the rocket to function. We are paying for the rocket.

These dipshits think they’re going to land on the moon this year. They can’t even get to orbit.

And when it is needed, it will be working.

This year's mission is to orbit the moon, not land on it. Do some fucking research.

SpaceX planned on landing HLS on the moon in 2025.

But they’re punting.

How many attempts should it take to land a rocket, which nobody has ever managed to accomplish?

NASA put men on the moon in 1969. The only rocket explosion they had in the Saturn program was a Little Joe that was intending to test the emergency escape rockets, which worked perfectly.
