Multiple shot at Dallas ICE facility

I kept reading how bad Redditt is about the shooting. I've never been there before so i peeked at one of the links.

OMG, we are fuckin' doomed if that the accepted level of discourse now.

As I said, I'd rather take my chances with someone armed with a knife than a gun pointed at my head.
You aren't going to disarm anyone, including the "crazy people", so what you'd rather do really doesn't matter.

What you CAN do is stop inciting your crazy people to shoot people you don't agree with, and call out those who do,.

Nah. You just want disarm the law abiding.

They have a long way to go catch up. This guy was shooting immigrants. Another right wing nut.
I cant tell you how much LOVE that your party keeps blaming your neverending violence on the right. It never works. Do you have any idea how stupid you guys look to normal people?

You guys are in so much trouble, politically speaking. You never take responsibility for any of your disasters. As a result, people think you are an unserious, violently crazy party. Who the **** wants you loons back in power? :dunno:

At least three people were wounded early Wednesday morning in a shooting at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Dallas, Texas, according to local reports.

The shooting occurred around 7 a.m. at an ICE office near an interstate highway.

Dallas police are searching for a possible sniper or multiple shooters on top of buildings in the vicinity, a Dallas-area ABC affiliate reported.

The Washington Examiner contacted the Dallas Police Department and the Department of Homeland Security for comment.

This is a breaking news story and will be updated.

Just another day in the office for your average, peace loving, left-wing lunatic.

At least he had the common courtesy to shoot himself afterwards, saved us tax payers some money.

The result is not the same. How can you defend yourself from an unknown shooter perched on a roof if you're on a sidewalk, driving down a highway, or at a concert?
That's not the norm for gun deaths.

Action equals reaction—that’s simple logic. Why should I be surprised? You demonized immigrants and incited violence. Now, karma has come back around. lol. :)

👉 There have been significant reports in 2025 documenting widespread anti-immigrant rhetoric in the United States. This rhetoric has been amplified in political campaigns, policy proposals, and public discourse, often portraying immigrants as threats to American society, culture, and security.

Key points from reports down here:

• Project 2025 and other conservative policy agendas have been criticized for promoting xenophobic, racist tropes and seeking to implement harsh measures like mass deportations, militarized borders, and ending protections for large immigrant groups.

• President Donald Trump has been a prominent figure in spreading anti-immigrant narratives, including baseless claims linking immigrants to crime and threats to American values.

• Anti-immigrant rhetoric has fueled fear, stigma, and hostility, contributing to an environment where immigrants increasingly face discrimination, harassment, and violence.

• Some political leaders have introduced legislation and policies that echo white nationalist theories and aim to diminish immigrants' rights and representation.

• Human rights organizations and civil rights groups warn that this rhetoric undermines due process, fairness, and basic human dignity for immigrants.

Overall, the hostile political and media environment( such as FOX news )in 2025 is seen as exacerbating the demonization of immigrants, threatening their safety and well-being in the U.S. .civilrights+4

👉 There have been numerous reports and investigations in 2025 documenting allegations of violence, abuse, neglect, and mistreatment of immigrants in ICE detention facilities. Some key points down below:

At least 14 deaths in ICE custody were reported by mid-2025, the highest number since 2018, with concerns about oversight and conditions leading to fatalities.

Investigations led by Senator Jon Ossoff uncovered over 500 credible reports of human rights abuses in immigration detention, including physical and sexual abuse, mistreatment of pregnant women and children, medical neglect, overcrowding, and unsanitary conditions.

Specific cases include detainees suffering injuries from guards, denial of medical care causing severe health consequences, and reports of sexual assaults and cruel treatment.

Human Rights Watch and other groups have documented abusive practices at certain Florida immigration detention centers involving degrading treatment, denial of essential needs, and punitive measures like solitary confinement.

ICE and DHS have occasionally disputed some of these allegations but ongoing congressional oversight continues to press for accountability and reforms.

Overall, there is credible evidence and many reports indicating systemic problems with violence and mistreatment of immigrants in ICE detention, though ICE publicly maintains standards are in place to prevent abuse. ossoff.senate+6
