It was a very simple question. Do you support the constitution. The answer should of course been yes, or of course I do. I swore to it my oath office. Why would he need to consult with his legal staff?

While that may have been what he intended to say, it was not what he actually said. When asked, Trump responded, "I don’t know. I’m not, I’m not a lawyer. I don’t know."

Given that he swore an oath to "preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States," the clear answer should have been "yes." It seems he was trying to avoid following the interviewer's line of questioning but his poor old brain couldn't handle it.
