I have sounds coming from my speakers that sounds exactly like me clicking on an icon or something but it happens when I'm not typing or mousing--any ideas ?

Audio card, wire breaking or connections maybe, unplug the speakers lately?

Just some guesses.

Worth a shot---weird tho---sounds just like someone else is clicking away. Very distinct--not static.

The culprit is Internet Explorer, which makes such a sound any time you hit a link, though it makes it really easy to spot spyware. Use Firefox and a spyware sniffer.
