"Most voters approve of President Trump’s decision to use federal agents to fight the growing violent crime in some major cities. They also believe many of these cities bring the criminal problems onto themselves.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 55% of Likely U.S. Voters think federal law enforcement officials should be used to fight the growing level of violent crime in several major cities since the cities appear unable or unwilling to handle the problem themselves. Thirty-six percent (36%) oppose this federal anti-crime help.(To see survey question wording, click here.)

Eighty percent (80%) of Republicans favor the use of federal law enforcement in these cities, all of which are currently run by Democrat politicians. Democrats by a 53% to 39% margin are opposed. Among voters not affiliated with either major party, 48% want the feds to get involved; 39% do not.

fifty-one percent (51%) of all voters agree that government policies and practices encourage violent crime in some cities and states more than others. Just 24% disagree, while another 24% are undecided."

So most voters think Crazy Nancy is , well, just crazy.

I don't have a problem using Federal Resources either. But with one huge qualifier that was also left out of the Poll. It has to be with the permission and coordination of the Governor/Mayor. That's the way it's been done in the last 50 years. If Rump sends them in to make arrests or detainment on the City Street without that qualifier then he's in serious breech of the State Laws. His "Troops" become invaders.

What's false about it? Who are these Mayors in these towns supporting with these protests and riots? How long have they allowed this to go on? Who are defunding the police, the Republicans? Who is trying to stop the President from sending in homeland security to protect federal buildings those leftist Mayors are not protecting?

I'd approve of it to.

If:

They worked with LEO's on the ground to coordinate the efforts
Arrested persons were mirandized.
You knew who was arresting you so those who were not arrested knew who to call to arrange bail, check on your welfare, etc...
Were not placing people into unmarked vans and driving off

We've had organized police for almost 200 years in the nation. These are not new concepts.

Bullshit. Local police enforce state laws and federal law enforcement officers enforce federal law and neither has the authority to enforce the other's laws unless asked to so insisting that federal law enforcement officers must enlist local police to enforce federal crimes is nonsense.

People are not mirandized unless they have been arrested and are then being questioned about the crime they have been arrested for, but since you have no idea if these people have been arrested or simply brought in for questioning, which police do all the time without arresting someone, you have no idea if it is appropriate to mirandize them or if they are being mirandized.

Plainclothes police drive around all the time in unmarked vehicles and pick people up for questioning, just as the federal law enforcement officer have, so unless you are opposed to plainclothes police you have no rational basis for objecting to federal law enforcement officers doing the same thing.

The truth is the only way you would approve of what is being done is if Crazy Nancy gave you permission to.
