More lack of freedom of speech from Trump - kicking visa holders out who say things he doesn't like

Freedom of speech has limits even if you're in your own country.

HOWEVER for there to be freedom of speech, not committing a crime should not end up with being tossed out of the country. Because, they'll get comfortable doing it. And you'll be next.
How will Struth be tossed out of the country? isn’t she a citizen?

But a VISA holder is different. We are able to deny VISAs if the president, via the State Department, determines the individual has values antithetical to American values.

Likewise, we can toss out anyone who mistakenly admitted under the guise of supporting American values. And we do not welcome foreigners who come to our soil, BY INVITATION, and then celebrate murdering Americans.

"US revokes six foreigners’ visas over social media comments criticizing Charlie Kirk"

Trump dressed it up as people "celebrating" Kirk's death. Nothing of the sort

"ā€œThe United States has no obligation to host foreigners who wish death on Americans,ā€ the state department said in a statement posted on X. ā€œThe State Department continues to identify visa holders who celebrated the heinous assassination of Charlie Kirk.ā€"

Here's the first example they gave:

"ā€œCharlie Kirk won’t be remembered as a hero,ā€ one of the comments posted on X read. ā€œHe was used to astroturf a movement of white nationalist trailer trash!ā€"

Did this person "celebrate" his death? Nope. He just said he won't be remembered as a hero.

This is very dangerous. Either people have freedom of speech, or it becomes a privilege, and in the US, it's becoming a privilege.

What next? Locking up Americans for it?

Having the RIGHT to free speech means all people in the US legally have these rights.

It doesn't seem like that right now.

You don't have to let people in, but once you've given them a visa, you should only kick them out for COMMITTING A CRIME. They didn't commit a crime.
More proof that our Constitution does not apply to non-citizens. The document is not an international document that protects foreign pieces of filthy dogshit.

The exampled comment wasnt even overly critical. The US has a giant shit-stain on its constitution and flag that Trump left wiping his ass with it. You guys sniff it daily on here. You all need serious help.
MAGA has made it abundantly clear that their interpretation of the Constitution is more important to them than their interpretation of the Bible. Politics over religion.

Always looking for a silver lining in this, it sure has been an educational ten years. There sure is a lot about this group that I didn't know.

I saw a comment from a guy who is trying to see some potential good happening here:

"So now that the President has ordered an entire legal branch of the US government to prosecute his enemies, whether or not there are any grounds, at least we are reminded of what democracy is supposed to be.

"This is not much consolation, but it is better, after all, to be slapped awake rather than left asleep when the house is on fire".
Mac quoting some random idiot on the innerwebs.:auiqs.jpg:

Hey stupid, that's because we are governed by the Constitution. Now you clowns are wanting the Republicans to govern using the bible.:cuckoo:

So, what's the problem? Get them the **** out of the US.

It's about someone saying something that some people don't like. That's the bottom line.

When a person is in the US legally, they have certain rights. When a person isn't in the US and isn't a US citizen, they do not have those rights.

Do you understand?

Even though Trump is a cowardly draft dodger and felon, many weak Americans look to him as a gawd. They see in his actions a strongman that make them feel strong. It is a common virtue among the insecure and weak republicans and Americans.

The real question is why we let filthy pieces of dog shit like you to remain.

Visa holders? It sounds like the left is of the opinion that guests in the United States have some sort of official status and the protection that goes with it. Did democrats ever meet a legal or illegal alien they wouldn't take out to dinner?

Americans have freedom of speech, visa holders don’t. If you’re here as a guest there are limits to what you can do, don’t like it? Leave.

Totally disagree. They do…but they don’t have a right to a visa and free speech doesn’t mean freedom from consequences of that speech

That wasn't the point I was making.

The point is that Vance went to Europe and criticized Europe for lack of freedom of speech. If you're so big on free speech, why are they now trying go against that?

If you want to search people's assholes, their Republican Grnder accounts, whatever, fine, as long as you're not going around the world telling everyone how much freedom of speech is really ******* important.

It's hypocrisy.

They aren’t. You think what you perceive as hypocrisy is, it isn’t.

It is important, the main difference is we don’t throw 57 people in jail every day for Facebook tweets they do in the UK however, people like you were more than OK with the mass censorship that occurred on social media during the Covid era, or censorship on YouTube of political dissonance and their debanking. You also cheered when you threw a man in jail Douglas Mackie for making dank memes so again zip it. Your side is actively hostile to freedom of speech. You’re just mad that we’re kicking out potential future voters from the country so they could never cast a ballot in your favor. .
