Resting place of Mary Hays aka Molly Pitcher. At the Battle of Monmouth in 1778 her husband was severely wounded and she took his place at the cannon he was at. George Washington personally thanked her after the battle.

Where is she buried?

Quite a monument. I'm surprised some radical bunch didn't deface it or tear it down. Why did she need an alias?

It was actually a nickname for a woman who fought in the Revolutionary War.

In fact, there are 3 women who are thought to be the inspiration for Molly Pitcher.
