That's because they have changed the language.
When you disagree with a lefty you're being violent with them as far as they're concerned. This commuted violence then becomes cause for retaliatory violence which is not just verbal.
When called to account for it they will quickly fall on the false premise that the violence was started originally by those who disagreed with and so the violence they are now committing is fully justified as a result. There's not much you can do with that mindset.
