I for one don't give rats ass if Israel's government is run by white europeans, Semites, Native Americans, Chinese atheists, Basques, Muslims or any other ethnic or religious group....it's when they consider themselves "chosen by God" or having manifest destiny that isnthe problem. I dont anticipate a whole lot of US ground force activity, except for special forces, but we absolutely ALREADY had boots on the ground before we even started this "war".

Green Berets are specifically trained in tactics to overthrow governments. They train locals and organize them, turning them into militias. Whenever you see attempts at regime change, the Green Berets are always quietly involved.

As for "well prepared defensive positions", i dont think those exist. There might be military instillations with reinforced bunkers, but those wont be protecting the government thats being overthrown, unless they are stupid enough to gather in a bunker, at which point they will get hit with a bunker buster.
