I have no proof of this but could someone from Russia have sent all those bombs?

For the purpose to cause more chaos and divide in our nation just before the election?

Russia only? Is that the only country in the world that you think wants us diminished? Besides the Russian interference may have only resulted in a 0.8% shift in voters. If you read the released intelligence report you'd know that Putin's primary goal was (and still is) to discredit our democratic process in the eyes of Russians and Russian allies, this makes him more powerful back home by showing that the democratic process is seriously flawed and supposedly easy to manipulate/corrupt.

The evidence is that despite all the allegations against Russia trying to influence the 2016 elections, they had no effect on the outcome; the Democrats did try to influence that election with false allegations about Trump's relations with Russia. Considering this, it seems likely that these bombs were sent by Democrats in an effort to influence the outcome of the midterm elections. Notice that no Democrat currently running for office was targeted, only prominent Democrats who had no influence on the midterms were targeted. Who benefits from this? Obviously, the Democrats and the question is, how high up in the Party structure was the decision made to send those bombs to prominent but currently unimportant Democrats?

imo those on the left have tended towards politics of pitting one "side" against the other. The baker and transgender and even gay marriage were partially the reason Hillary was rejected when echoing the "we go high" mantra.

But Trump's escalated it. From Scalise to the guy grabbing women on an airplane saying "Trump does it." It's really up to leadership to set an example ... and actually that's pretty much rule one for leadership.

What was scary about Nixon was his willingness to divide us ... the silent majority, and that fit with Wallace. And not just on race. Ford led the move back towards civility and both Carter and Reagan are/were decent human beings who understood leadership.
