Good question. She needs to take a public stand, and being silent on what Israeli women have gone through is not acceptable.
Her words however, would go nowhere in the black community, and that's why it is more important for Michelle Obama to take a public stand.

Why do minorities always have to do twice as much as white people to have their behaviour be deemed "acceptable". Melania does NOTHING, but that's OK.

Laura Bush - crickets. Hillary Clinton - Ditto. None of the other living First Ladies have condemned Hamas pubically, why is Michelle the ONLY living first Lady required to publically prove her loyalty?????

A person must be near braindead to think that standing up for Palestinian civilians is also standing up for Hamas. Hamas is a terrorist organization. Palestinian civilians are not.
