A Miami cop miraculously was not hit when he stopped a vehicle in a high crime area and reportedly the "other vehicle" opened fire on him. Police vehicle was shot up and became disabled but miraculous the cop wasn't hit. Just a few weeks ago another Miami officer was the target of a drive by ambush.

It's not uncommon for wanted thugs and drug dealers to have a trail car that...if stopped by a cop...may ride by and fire shots to allow the lead car to escape or occupants to flee. Depends how much shit they're transporting or what their warrants are for. If you see a cop be less than friendly to others who approach him on a stop....this may be why.
