Meet Repub Senate candidate Ken Paxton

I don't know how he survived impeachment. Its not like we have a shallow bench here of MAGA candidates. We grow em here.

I think Paxton has dirt on people.
Paxton’s a fighter, not a felon, the endless lawfare against Ken Paxton tells you everything about why the establishment hates him.

This is the same guy who led Texas in suing the Biden administration dozens of times over border chaos, election integrity, Big Tech censorship, and federal overreach.

He’s been one of the most effective conservative AGs in the country... actually using the office to fight the administrative state instead of just issuing press releases. That’s why they keep coming after him.T

The impeachment? A rushed, partisan hit job by a handful of House Republicans (some with their own grudges and donor pressure) that collapsed in the Senate.

Texas senators... elected by the same voters who keep re-electing Paxton... heard the evidence and acquitted him decisively

It wasn’t a “shallow bench” problem; it was a recognition that the charges were thin, politically timed, and weaponized.

That was a procedural question

Paxton never conceded guilt but merely accept s plea from a lib kangaroo court

Paxton retaliated against whistleblowers and called them “rogue employees”.

Is that “so Texas”?

It's the Democrats' fault that your tea party political beliefs are so fucked-up and stupid that nobody wants to vote for them??

Whatever, simple dude.

Anyway, all the Tea Party morons started supporting Trump....because none of them were real conservatives, anyway.
Teh tea party was infected and destroyed. The powers that be saw that as potential interference in their control. All city's and area's local media shills were activated to mock candidates. So, a tea party woman is laughed at, called crazy and smeared in Delaware for Senator, and we end up with the corrupted oligarchy backed Coons as an example. We saw Joe initiate Coons y feeling up his daughter.

Its so government no matter which state

I really dont know if or how much guilt Paxton represents, and neither do you

But his policies are far better for Texas and America

Unfortunately for your party, MAGA voters see through the technique of using the justice system to throw mud at an America First politician and then pointing to the mud as evidence of that politician's corruptness - even when the mud doesn't even come close to sticking.

The criminal charges were dismissed, of course. The impeachment by the Texas House was followed quickly by an acquital in the Texas Senate.
In a memorable moment for the prosecution, GOP state Rep. Jeff Leach, an impeachment manager who represents Paxton's district, spoke directly to the Republican majority in the Senate, saying he considered Paxton a political mentor and a dear friend.

"I have loved Ken Paxton for a long time," Leach said, holding back tears. "I've done life with Ken Paxton — we've traveled together, attend church together."

Texas state Rep. Jeff Leach made an emotional closing argument for the prosecution, recounting his friendship with fellow Republican Ken Paxton but urging senators to vote for conviction.
But Leach said Paxton had been given ample opportunities to answer questions about the allegations and decided not to do so. He urged senators to convict "no matter how painful."

Paxton's lead attorney, Tony Buzbee, said the allegations made by the House were baseless and that Paxton was impeached because of his political enemies.

"The only evidence we have in this case is they don't like Ken Paxton," Buzbee told the Senate, "This man did his job, and he should still be doing this job."

He encouraged senators to "seek the truth."

What happens next

Paxton's acquittal doesn't mark the end of his legal problems.

The FBI is investigating the allegations made by his former employees. According to The Associated Press, prosecutors took grand jury testimony from Paxton's former personal aide Drew Wicker in August.

Paxton has also been under indictment since 2015 for securities fraud, but has yet to face a trial.

For years, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton allegedly used his office to inappropriately help a campaign donor, a group of investigators working for a Texas House panel revealed Wednesday.

The panel’s report comes as part of a months-long investigation into Paxton’s settlement of a lawsuit brought by four whistleblowers who were fired in 2020 after making accusations about the Republican’s misdeeds.

“To be negligent is just one thing," Donna Cameron, one of the House-hired investigators, told the House General Investigating Committee. "But malfeasance is when you are actively and intentionally doing things to the detriment of the office and to your oath and to the responsibility that you have to the state of Texas and the public."

Cameron and three other investigators spent over three hours Wednesday morning detailing Paxton’s alleged illegal acts, most of them related to Austin real estate investor Nate Paul, who made a $25,000 contribution to Paxton's campaign.

The investigation primarily centered on what the whistleblowers alleged and the $3.3 million settlement they were ultimately awarded. Payment on that settlement has not yet been funded by the Texas Legislature.

Immoral personal conduct, illegal acts, overt corruption, who knew Repubs would sink to the level of ignoring all of them for the sake of the tribe......................and power.

It’s not impossible to know.

The problem is you don’t WANT to know.

And no one can force you.
