Media Blasts DeSantis for Giving Brochures to Vineyard Immigrants “Promising” 8 Months Cash Benefits. Source? Official MA Immigration Website

Of course it does. Because the people perpetrating the fraud are those who are intentionally misleading them to coerce them to get in a plane to be part of a political stunt.

Blaming a website they’ve never seen is pathetic.

Coerce? I don't think that word means what you think it means.

DeSantis merely provided them with public information that Sanctuary City Martha's Vineyard was advertising.

It would seem these illegals were mislead by the elite Dimtard snobs on Martha's Vineyard who promised them months of benefits and jobs, only to give them the bum's rush off the island in less than two days at the hands of the National Guard.

How is that the fault of DeSantis? Be specific.

You’re right. Coerce is the wrong word.

But it’s still fraud. Lying to people to convince them to do something that they wouldn’t otherwise do is wrong.
Who lied? The Martha's Vineyard fuckwits on their website, or DeSantis for quoting their website?

Try to be honest for the first time in your life, Simp.

DeSantis for telling the immigrants that the information they copied and pasted to them applied to them.

Total illegals now living on Martha's Vineyard, zero. Total illegals now living within 100 miles of Martha's Vineyard, also zero. Democrats deported them.

YOU are who is "perpetrating a fraud". Everything DeSantis said was correct, borne out by the Massachusetts Office for Refugees & Immigrants (ORI) Eligible Populations, as I showed in Post # 71. Can you read ?

There is lying going on. And you are the recipient.

After a headline which leaves the impression that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis made up, out of thin air, a program of up to 8 months of cash benefits for refugees in Massachusetts, as well as job placement help, it turns out that the benefits are actually found in Massachusetts’ own Office for Refugees and Immigrants website.

Labelling the self-confessed illegal border crossers “migrants,” a Business Insider article made viral by the MSN search engine announced “Migrants flown to Martha’s Vineyard on planes chartered by DeSantis received a misleading brochure that promised cash, job placement and more, lawyers say.”

The problem with the headline is it is not exactly misleading. The benefits are right on Massachusetts’ own immigration website. This is something the article did not mention.

Nevertheless, Boston’s Lawyers for Civil Rights, a liberal group, is calling for “a federal and Massachusetts criminal investigation into DeSantis’ decision to transport the migrants.”

In response to his political enemies, such as California Gov. Gavin Newsom saying that DeSantis should be charged with “kidnapping” or “human trafficking,” Florida officials say the illegal immigrants transported free to Martha’s Vineyard were given “multiple” opportunities to decline the trip,” and that some indeed did decline.

Although, according to Immigration attorney Matt Cameron, the benefits touted by Massachusetts would not be available to illegal immigrants who are still seeking asylum, application for asylum can be made from anywhere in the United States.

The latest media barrage at DeSantis comes as part of an outpouring of fury by Democrats and the major media against him, after he flew two planeloads of willing immigrants from Florida to the elite playground of Martha’s Vineyard, saying the burden of Biden’s open border policy should be shared. Some say this exposed a grand hypocrisy among the liberal elites. Among those who vacation is Barack Obama, who owns a $12 million dollar estate.

No sooner did the planes land in Martha’s Vineyard than the National Guard was called out to assist in relocating them off the island. Vineyard human services officials pleaded lack of space and resources, although at this time of year, the vacation destination has upwards of 200,000 hotel and other types of living units sitting empty.

Although publications such as the leftist Popular Information asserts that “The brochure says that migrants who arrive in Massachusetts will be eligible for numerous benefits, including “8 months cash assistance,” the brochure says no such thing, and is more of a general informational rundown of resources which may or may not immediately apply.

Several hit pieces on DeSantes have appeared, such as one from NPR, using first-name-only or anonymous immigrant sources. which claims the travelers were misled and told they were going to Boston.

But Popular Information says:

“DeSantis has been adamant that the migrants were not misled. He claims that migrants were provided with a map showing the destination was Martha’s Vineyard and describes the flights as “all voluntary.” Appearing on Fox News on Sunday Morning, Florida Lt. Governor Jeanette Nunez (R) called allegations that the migrants were misled “categorically false.””

How do we know these illegals weren't refugees? They could have been chased out of whatever country they came from.

Most illegal immigrants do not qualify for US asylum

By Andrew Arthur August 16, 2022 7:14pm

[...]

DHS statistics reveal that the Biden administration has rarely used this “expedited removal” authority. Between July 2021 and July 2022, the department processed 1.079 million migrants stopped at the southwest border for removal. Of that 1.079 million, it cleared just 41,206 to apply for asylum or other humanitarian protection in the US.

Did DeSantis tell the immigrants they were not eligible for the benefits?

I'm waiting patiently for one of our far-left friends to post a photo of the brochure being handed to illegal, non-vetted aliens.

No, I will not hold my breath.

They are so slick with words if I met one of these liberal media types I would immediately be checking my wallet and counting the silverware.

The liberal media will attack DeSantis just as they have attacked Trump.

DeSantis is not a liberal and may prove to be an even tougher opponent then Trump if Trump decides not to run.

The liberal media is the propaganda wing of the Democratic Party.
