It's hard to believe what incredible douche bags these establishment RINOs are.

McConnell claims GOP lawmakers will sacrifice White House, drop Trump ‘like a hot rock’ if he's nominee | BizPac Review

Republican voters need only look to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to understand that GOP lawmakers will willingly sacrifice the White House in order to save their own hides.

As the Republican Party begins to accept the very real possibility that front-runner Donald Trump will be their presidential nominee, McConnell “laid out a plan that would have lawmakers break with Mr. Trump explicitly in a general election,” The New York Times reported.

Despite his overwhelming victories thus far, leaders of the party think Trump will lose in the general election and will hurt Republicans down-ticket.

If Republican leadership does not abide by The People's Choice, it will spell the end of the Republican Party.

Should they drop the choice of The People, then it's likely that The People will drop them, in their Senate and House races.

I seriously doubt they have the balls to play Chicken (engage in brinksmanship) with The People, given the mood of the country.

Democrats must be salivating over the prospect, and will, doubtless, encourage McConnell et al to do just that.

A blessing in disguise if he follows through on it. McConnell very well may be looking at his final term anyway after making all those promises in the last election he had no intention of keeping. His opposition to Trump is more likely to give Trump a boost than hurt him. This is a revolution in the making and it's good to get these guys out in the open so everyone knows who to vote against.

Careful

The moderates in your party are willing to sacrifice elections in order to maintain control of the party.

Letting the dems win is not as bad as to surrendering control to its right wing or social conservative base. Of the three groups, the moderates are the least likely to believe the dems will destroy the nation.

Obvious the GOP Republican establishment is giving a big :fu:to the will of Republican voters. Thank you Donald, for bringing this to the forefront!

The GOP mainstream moderates will turn its collective back on Trump while letting the far right and social con scream themselves hoarse.

The republican supporters have already shown how angry they are, dumb ass McConnell is a idiot and needs to shut the F up.

Trump promised that he would play ball with people that played fair with him. If Trump takes this seriously, he may very well say to hell with it and run as an Independent giving McDufas exactly what he wants, a Hillary Clinton presidency if she doesn't get indicted.

Trump would not be looked down on either because it was a handshake deal. He promised not to consider Independent provided he is treated fairly, and the head Senate moron stating he will go against the parties front runner is a deal breaker. That's hardly what I call being treated fairly.

I heard an interesting theory the other day.
The GOP 'encourage' a third candidate to enter the race as an independent to split the conservative vote and let the Dem nominee through.

The Republican establishment saying give them what they want or its murder suicide.

It should be interesting.

The establishment GOP is as arrogant as the Democraps. They may very well commit 'Seppuku' on a Trump sharpened Ginsu knife. And if they do, so be it!

Ray, Trump can't win, either as GOP or independent.

Glad your crystal ball is more accurate than mine, because mine can't tell the future.

Every prediction about Trump has not only been wrong so far, but way wrong.

First it was said Trump was doing this as a publicity stunt and would never dream of going to the debates. They were wrong.

Then it was predicted since Trump didn't drop out, he wouldn't last one debate without getting clobbered. They were wrong.

Then when Trump attacked people who attacked him first, people said nobody could get away with such insults and maintain popularity. He gained more popularity.

But now Trump can't be President. Well......I'll go with past performance on this one.

Well, I will go with polls that overwhelming majorities of minorities and a solid majority of women will not vote for him.

We are all watching a crazed phenomenon affecting the GOP with no evidenced spill over into the center of the Dems.

Tis what it is.

If Trump were running against a decent candidate, I would say the Republicans were in trouble. But if he does win the nomination, he will likely be facing an opponent that was investigated by the FBI, who comes with a world of baggage, who lies constantly about her past such as getting off of airplanes and being shot at, or, Trump will face an admitted Socialist who spent his honeymoon in the former USSR, and never even had a steady paycheck until the age of 40, and even then, it was a government paycheck.
