War of the Pashas", nor about Nasser's extreme influence via the PLO, and Druze factions supported by Israel - nor the political influence of the Cold war onto Lebanon. That had already resulted in the Maronite government and Habib Malik in 1958 to call in US Marines due to instability caused by the previous Suez-crisis and the founding of the UAR.
