Could someone please explain to me what republicans are thinking when it comes to the mass shootings? To be clear, I'm looking for a rational discussion or even just an explanation, and I'm trying to understand all the sides to an argument here. What response do republicans want to give to the Orlando shooting?

To me its awful no matter what kind of group that it has happened to, but in my opinion, for it to happen at a place for gays will only make those who live the lifestyle put it out there even more and to me it seems to be the only thing that is ever talked about anymore and I for one am getting sick of it. When are people going to learn that there are other things to talk about?
