I'm not protestant. Additionally, I didn't say nobody was aware. Quite apparently, German protestants were aware and believed Luther's anti-Semitic beliefs.

So ML was steeped in hostility toward Jews long before he broke with Rome.

Hitler and most of the top Nazis were Roman Catholics in good standing.
Basically, Hitler and the Nazis executed the will of their "holy father" in Rome

Nazis NEVER persecuted a German Catholic just for being Catholic.
Nor did Nazis target Catholics anywhere. Not just for being Catholic.

Whereas the Nazis did target Jews just for being Jews.

Naturally, NOW, everyone wants to claim Nazis persecuted them.
