Many are saying the Chiefs dynasty is done .. I disagree !

Mahomes missed receivers all last year. Wide open guys were missed. Many times, he just didn't see them. Other times, they were overthrown or just plain off target.
His protection wasn't great. But I don't blame the OL for missed throws. Many times he was afforded 4-5 seconds and still missed wide open guys.
Dink and dunk ain't gonna cut it.
Mahomes needs to be better to get back to the Superbowl.

They had the best record in the NFL and went the SB for the 3rd straight year….

The dynasty will continue as long as the referees remain on their side.

...in spite of Mahomes mediocre play...
Sure bud.

It's only fans of teams who dont win championships who worry about whether or not their QB is "the best".

Last year the top QB's statistically were in order

Joe Burrow (didnt make the PO's)

Goff 0 PO wins

Mayfield 0 PO wins

Geno Smith Didnt make the PO's

Darnold 0 PO wins

Lamar Jackson 1 PO win then lost to the Bills

Mahomes SB.

So, the 6 QB's who were statistically better than Mahomes last year tallied a single PO win combined.

Im sure all the Chiefs fans are fine with the lesser stats and SB wins and the 7 consecutive AFC champ games.

I believe the Chiefs have plenty of gas left to be a dominant force. Gotta avoid the injuries and get a marquee RB.

Ah, you kinda just made my point. All I'm saying is if Mahomes can get some accuracy in his long balls and stretch the field, the Chiefs wouldn't have to rely on their defense to win all those games. By the way, I have lived in KC for half a century and was watching Len Dawson matriculating the ball down the field at old Municipal Stadium probably long before you were born. I was a season ticket holder in the 80's and 90's when maybe 20,000 fans would show up to watch THE OTHER TEAMS play. That's how bad they were. Although I'm thankful for their recent success, I think I have earned the right to criticize...
Mahomes is still a good QB, but not the same as he was 4-5 years ago.

Making 3 SB's in a row & the Chiefs are done? The delusion is real here & elsewhere! I'm looking forward to the KC killin' their opposition w/ renewed energy & desire after dropping the last SB to The Eagles! The line's been fixed, they have a top-notch receiver (susp. a few games), & their running game should pk. up! Kelce engaged to Taylor should also bring energy to the team! :auiqs.jpg: :dunno: :stir:

Well, I think Kelce should have retired and I could care less about Taylor Swift. As far as the OL, good lines become great after they've played together for a couple years. Two new starters this year so we'll see...
And on defense, our db's are lacking - with McDuffie being the exception. Opposing teams will be throwing A LOT against this backfield, as we'll be strong against the run as we were last year.
That being said, I hope they kick the shit out of the Chargers in Brazil.

If they were they would have beaten him by now. Lamar for sure has had a much better roster than either Mahomes or Allen.
I'm wouldn't say they have a better roster .. the Chiefs had major problems with their O line "especially at left tackle" and key players were injured .. insiders are saying that many of the problems they had last year may have been fixed .

If both rosters were completely healthy maybe. But the Chiefs RB was out with a broken leg. Their 1 and 2 WRs were out with injury. The LT was so bad (was the original starter hurt?) their all pro guard was playing the position. The Ravens had/have the better OL, unless Derek Henry looses a step (dude is a warrior) they are better at RB. Until Rice comes back it’s a push I think in the WR room. Flowers is a mid tier #1. The defenses are probably pretty even though good defense is just in the culture in BMore.

In the 70's the Cowboys went to 5 SB's losing 3 times. Twice to the team you are saying they were more dominant than. There was a 6 year gap between them winning. Dallas went to 7 winning 5.

Pittsburgh went to 4 wining all 4. Twice going back to back. Done in just 6 years. The Steelers went to 6 AFC champ games winnning 4. The Steelers were clearly the dominant team in that decade.

The point of the season is the win the SB. Not to get to it. That the Cowboys got to one more SB is irrelevant seeing as they won 2 fewer losing to the Steelers.

To sum up.

Dallas has 1 more Conf Champ game appearance and 1 more win.

Pittsburgh has 2 more SB wins and 2 head to head wins over Dallas in the SB.

But Dallas was the dominant team in the 70's and not the Steelers.

Do I have that right?
The NFL is all about winning the "super bowl". Whether it is right or wrong. Allen and Jackson need to get to one or more and win it at least once. Cities that have not won or even got to the game deserve their chance also.

Since the Chiefs less than dominating performances in the 2024 season [barely winning most of their games] and the devastating loss to the Eagles at the SB last year many have been saying that the age of the Chiefs dynasty has come to an end ! I strongly disagree ! the Chiefs won 15 close games in 2024 with basically no OL protection for Mahomes ! well it appears that major issue may [and I do say may ] have been remedied ! with a better O line and injured players like Hollywood Brown and Rashee Rice returning to play for the team with the Mad Scientist Andy Reed as head coach and Spags as defensive coordinator the Chiefs will be a farce to reckon with .. a much much more dangerous force than the 2024 team !

AI Overview

Yes, the Chiefs are considered to have significantly improved their offensive line by addressing the weakness exposed in the 2024 Super Bowl, primarily through signing veteran Jaylon Moore and using their first-round draft pick on Josh Simmons, and trading away Joe Thuney to become younger and more athletic. While there are still some open questions, particularly on the left side with Kingsley Suamataia possibly moving to guard, the team now has more depth and talent to protect Patrick Mahomes and compete for another Super Bowl.

Key Offseason Moves

The second-round pick from the 2024 draft struggled at left tackle and may now compete for the left guard position, offering more options for the team.
Why the Changes Were Needed
Outlook for 2025

  • More Depth and Versatility:
The additions of Simmons and Moore have provided much-needed depth, and the team has the flexibility to move players like Suamataia to find the best starting lineup.
  • Focus on Development:
After a period of significant shuffling, the team hopes the new additions will gel to create

Good points regarding the O Line.

However, I would have bet the farm that they would have traded Jawaan Taylor(offensive tackle), who was the 3rd MOST penalized player in the NFL last season.

He single-handedly accounted for 17 penalties and 115 lost yards.

If they can capitalize on what they've done with the trades they have made, they should come back stronger this year.
