Full article and video of the dramatic arrest
A NSW man who was on the run from police for a week, accused of holding a woman at knifepoint and setting fire to a church, has been arrested and charged.
Stephen Luke, 45, was arrested at Lismore on Saturday morning, almost a week after he allegedly carjacked a 20-year-old woman at knifepoint in Griffith.
After fleeing in the woman’s Volkswagen, it’s alleged Luke committed further thefts and fraud offences in the area, before travelling to Sydney.
On Tuesday, it’s alleged the 45-year-old threatened another woman, aged 23, with a knife in Hornsby.
