• Voter turnout surpassed 2 million, the first time that's happened since 1969. Early voting turnout set records.
• President Trump said Monday night New Yorkers "really had no choice" but to vote for Andrew Cuomo.
• Most recent polling showed Mamdani with a lead in the race, although Cuomo had gained some ground.

All four Senators from those two states are Democrats.

Democrats won in Virginia and New Jersey also. I'm not sure that says as much as some might want it to but last I saw Democrats were ahead in the Virginia A.G. Job also but was supposed to get beat fairly easily.
