The Supreme Court ruled Monday that states can require voters to produce photo identification without violating their constitutional rights, validating Republican-inspired voter ID laws.
In a splintered 6-3 ruling, the court upheld Indiana's strict photo ID requirement, which Democrats and civil rights groups said would deter poor, older and minority voters from casting ballots. Its backers said it was needed to prevent fraud.

I disagree with the SCOTUS.
First of all, I have never shown a photo ID in my life, to ever vote.
I use my voter registration card, which is not photo.
Second is that the driver's license that they do then want people to use as a photo ID can not be checked for validity by the polling station, so is worthless. People often have fake driver's licenses, to buy alcohol, etc. and they are expensive enough to not be universal to those who do not own a car for some reason.
