Dad made him wash my truck once a week for a month and told me to let him know if he did a half ass job of it.

I did buy a thing of laundry detergent picking it up by the handle at the store that fell open and spilled when I picked it up by the lid taking out of the trunk. Never had that happen before. Lost maybe 15% of the jug.

I had a bottle of hand soap do the same thing. The cap was barely screwed on....and when it tipped over half of it spilled out.
I've found several of them like this.
Now I always check them before I put them in my cart.

I have seen loose caps on containers many times, going back years...I suspect it's from temperature swings, since it happens most often in winter and summer. It's almost always caps that aren't actually a seal...either the container has none (laundry or dish soap), of there is a seal UNDER the cap (peanut butter, cashews).

But yeah they will loosen up with temp changes.
Bought a case of Tito's Vodka and it fell over in my truck on the way back to the house.
