2025 a major year for solar and wind

I have driven by those windmills farms 100’s of times, Tens of thousands of acres, right along the road, really ugly and all the blinking red lights flashing all might the ugly towers along the highway, seen everywhere in the PNW, Head south and in Utah, Arizona, California, Nevada, thousands of solar farms, really ugly. Then you have the morons in Salem tearing out the dams, the best source of electricity, what moron is that stupid? Then they have the no splashing law, where you get fined for splashing in the water, seriously, what stupid moron votes this kind of stupidity? And make sure you don’t have a rain barrel because that will damage the environment but let’s erect hands of miles of white ugly towers along a scenic highway, yeah moron that makes sense. As a former Oregonian I am glad I am gone. The valley votes against its best interests and it keeps getting worse. Enjoy you stupidity.
Ah yes, this is obviously your idea of beauty;

The claims are misleading as that is based on full name place capacity, it is actually a lot less.

Yep, and the biggest lie is solar nameplate, as it can only operate when the sun shines and any light cloud cover knocks the number down. It requires perfect conditions to come close to nameplate capacity.

Oh, and when the sun isn't shining, the output is O, as in ZERO, but the nameplate capacity is still there. LOL

Every one of those windmills on a farmer's land brings him about $5000 a year. And they take up almost no land. Wheat grows right up to the base. Yes, they are taking out dams. And already 70,000 salmon have returned to the Klamath. And we can get electricity that has much less effect on the environment from wind and solar. Time to take out the aging dams. The Elwa in Washington and the Klamath in Oregon are excellent examples of why removing those dams is a good idea. And you are lying about collecting rainwater off your roof. You can do that in Oregon. I also am glad you are gone. You never belonged here.

Where do you think the minerals come from to make solar panels, and wind turbine parts? Duh! From mining. Lots of mining.
Stupid ass, where the hell do you think the minerals for the coal and gas plants come from? Mining, lots of mining. Then you have to mine a lot more for coal, and drill for gas, as well as lay hundreds of miles of rail for coal and thousands of miles of pipelines for gas. And here is how beautiful coal mining make the country;

Ever hear of storage? Batteries and the already developed technology of pumped hydro? Even with storage, solar and wind are less expensive to build and maintain than coal or gas. And far, far less expensive than nuclear.

No, it would not be. This is money that the government received for the leases, now returned and projects were to be canceled. Fortunately, there are legal actions being taken to negate those illegal executive actions. At a time we desperately need more generation, the malodorous mango is preventing us from getting that generation.

Trump administration to spend $765 million to cancel 4 more wind farms — bringing the total to $2.6 billion in abandoned offshore turbine projects

As I mentioned done by Congress and agreed to by the president.

The United States got tricked into funding offshore wind production and solar panels.

Your swearing really is hurting you far more than you understand it is.

The gas industry requires far less mining than so-called green like wind and solar.

That you used an ad hominem shows that I caught you out though.

Mining for the green energy transition creates significant environmental and social challenges. Constructing solar panels, wind turbines, and electric vehicle batteries requires vast amounts of copper, lithium, cobalt, and rare earth elements. This extraction often leads to severe consequences, including deforestation, water pollution, and human rights concerns in developing nations.

LOL Batteries. What, 2 hours of power? Solar nameplate capacity is a BIG LIE.

Gotta love people who say, 'muh, batteries'. Forgetting that this means multiple sources, thus greatly increasing costs for consumers.

Build a coal, or a NG, or a nuclear power plant, that's it. And they can operate 24/7 at nameplate capacity if needed.

Build a solar farm or windfarm, but hey admit you also need costly batteries as well. Yep, much more of a cost.
