"Among the thousands of mail-in ballots that were rejected in Washington state during the 2020 election, auditors have found that the votes of Black residents were thrown out four times as often as those of white voters."

If these voters had voted in person, their votes would have counted. Republicans favor in person voting so that all eligible voters votes count.

Some 90-year-old who can't make it to the polls because they can't stand in line for 30 minutes.

Where's the harm in letting them vote by mail?

We've been voting by mail for over ten years now and it's been a blessing.
I would assume there already exists an absentee system for your 90 yo voter.

At the polling place I go to, elderly/handicapped can wait in the car and a poll worker will bring a tablet/voting machine to the car for the person to cast his/her vote.

Vice President Mike Pence and half a dozen of senior advisers in the Trump administration have voted by mail in the past, which is at odds with how the president views the voting method

Utah has it for every living citizen. Bout time we should start it. Paper trail.

for if you go to the polls you still vote on a machine.

Conservatives are as reprehensible as they are dishonest.

Republicans will lie and distort the truth in an effort to undermine the right to vote and disenfranchise voters of color.

I hear a lot of talk about Republicans somehow suppressing votes of Black people from Democrats...However, whenever I ask how so today, I get crickets.....And when I talk to Black people I know, many of them, Democrats all btw, say the most insulting thing they endure today is the laughable stereotype that Blacks can't get ID's, can't vote without Democrats fighting on their behalf....It's about as racist as anything out there today, to believe that tripe....

What a crock of shit. Democrats will lie and distort the truth in an effort to influence the elections in their favor by allowing cheating on a massive scale. You demand papers from people in order to go places or to keep their jobs but no papers are needed at all to vote and illegals are encouraged to vote.

Mail In Voting Is Social Injustice

Malcontents who mindlessly parrot the Loser's mewling mantra miss the dazling flip-flop occasioned by his being ignominiously thrown out on his big puffy Pillow Boys by the American electorate at its first opportunity:
In late 2019, Pennsylvania Republicans were publicly lauding themselves as proponents of voting by mail after they helped pass a bill to expand the state’s absentee ballot system.
Their bipartisan legislation “serves to preserve the integrity of every election and lift the voice of every voter in the commonwealth,” said GOP House majority leader Bryan Cutler, who appeared at the bill signing ceremony with the state’s Democratic governor. Eight of the bill’s nine sponsors were Republicans.

In Iowa, the Republican Party mailed absentee ballot applications to voters without waiting for requests.
In Pennsylvania, the GOP’s website promotes voting by mail: "Vote Safe: By mail. From home.”
And in Ohio, the Republican Party sent mailers with Trump’s photo saying “Join President Trump and Vote by Absentee Ballot.”...

“Vote by mail really works well here in Utah,” said Justin Lee, director of elections in Utah, where the Republican administration sends ballots to every voter in the state. “We do feel it’s safe and secure. We don’t feel there are any real instances of either widespread fraud or voter disenfranchisement.
[A]cross the country, the distinction between mail-in ballots and absentee ballots appears negligible.

Some states use the words interchangeably or use a single term for all mail-in ballots. In Florida, voters can request a mail-in ballot without providing a reason..

That's super dishonest.. Nowhere in any bills does it condone unsolicited ballots.
