Rep. Pete Sessions to Introduce Make Elections Secure Act – Would Eliminate Voting Machines

Let's just all get together in a room and shout "Aye" or "Nea". What a bunch of buffoons you guys are. Not a single one of you is a leader of a successful organization... coincidence? I think not.

Democrats would get obliterated if they were not able to cheat, RIG, stuff ballot boxes, 'harvest ballots', and out right steal elections.
And why the Founding Fathers warned us of the things we see and experience.

The problem is the average American has absolutely no way to know whether they are rigged or not. Here in New Mexico we vote on paper ballots. But once we have filled out our ballot it is fed into a machine that counts and tabulates the vote. We have absolutely no way to know that our vote was actually counted and/or counted in the way we actually voted. Poll watchers are useless to give us any assurance in that case.

And because the voting laws are so narrow and restrictive so that a recount is almost impossible to obtain and unless the margin is less than 1% you have to pay for the recount in order to challenge it. And with absolutely no voter ID of any kind is allowed, anybody who can obtain an address and birthdate can vote in anybody's name.

And it is uncanny how many times in a really close election, they manage to find a box of ballots that were 'overlooked' before and those ballots are just enough to give the Democrat a win. New Mexico has never had a GOP controlled legislature in the 113 year history of this state.
I'm actually not sure what a voting machine is. I vote like you do, on a paper ballot which gets fed into a machine.

Well worth it to prevent dem shenanigans.

Boxes of ballots are a lot harder to hide than a thumb drive.
Voter ID will end the democrat party.

"Rep. Pete Sessions to Introduce Make Elections Secure Act – Would Eliminate Voting Machines and Ensure Hand-Marked Paper Ballots – Severely Restrict Mail-in Voting
The Gateway Pundit has obtained a draft copy of the Make Elections Secure Act (MESA), authored by Representative Pete Sessions (TX-17), which would repeal the outdated Help America Vote Act (HAVA) of 2002.

Among other things, it would also almost entirely eliminate electronic voting machines and ensure each voter casts their ballot on a hand-marked paper ballot with a manual hand-count. Exceptions for machine use would be permitted for voters requiring accessibility accommodations due to disabilities.

The bill, which would also apply to primary elections, also “restrict
mailed ballots to specific eligible voters with stringent verification process.” As of now, those are outlined as active-duty military stationed outside their voting jurisdiction and those with a physician-certified medical condition that would prevent in-person voting.

MESA would also provide accountability to the public by ensuring “maximum transparency by providing public access to all election processes and comprehensive Election Data, including unscrambled ballot images and cast vote records, with at least five days for officials to upload data.”"

Who could be against secure elections? I suspect the Democrats will lose their shit over this.
It looks good. I wish they didn't have to use all the legalese in these bills and would write them in simple English so the average American could read and understand what the legislation would do and the rationale behind it.

For instance the legislation is very careful to be specific that anyone who is a citizen eligible to vote and who can't afford a real photo I.D. and/or has problems obtaining one will have all the assistance he/she needs to get that real photo I.D.

I didn't see anything requiring people to provide proof of citizenship in order to register to vote or any requirement that those who don't vote in either the primary or general election will have to re-register to vote. I may have missed that because I read over the text pretty quickly.

But all and all it is definitely a good start.

No one. Except trump.

Note to Pete.........elections are already secure. Fraud is virtually non-existent.
^^^ believes US elections are clean and pure

Democrats believe elections are clean and pure because the TV tells them that

Americans know the elections are full of fraud and democrats are traitors because of reality.

The bastard became my congresscrittur in the last redistricting. He cannot be trusted. Somewhere in the bill there will be something $$$ for somebody feeding off the federal teat.
He isn’t prone to doing things on principle, he hasn’t any.

You do realize, that everything you just posted is YOUR opinion, not fact. Your opinion is very important, even if like all LEFTISTS you try and pretend it is all fact, lol.
You MAGAs wouldn’t know a fact if the Almighty himself presented one to you.

That would make elections take weeks!

Also gonna cost a whole lot more.

And be less secure, not more.

Um, no. Those were verified facts.

My mail-in ballot was on paper. I feel much more trustworthy of today's system as opposed to flipping a lever in a mechanical voting booth back when I first began voting. The keeping of the voting roll is my concern and why I vote early. I had one issue pop up roughly 30 years ago when voting in person during a very minor local election where the city wanted to expand the mayor's term from 2 to 4 years. Getting a letter of apology a couple of months afterward wasn't satisfying.

So, voting early and the ability to check its status and not deal with any election day surprises is what I like about how things are done today. I wouldn't mind any change that helps election roll accuracy but changes beyond that don't excite me in a positive manner.

You MAGA bozos do realize that nearly all voting is made via paper ballots and then those ballots are scanned into a voting machine. In the event of a close election those ballots can be hand counted. Not to mention that the idea of widespread voter fraud is a lie.

The truth is even if you MAGA had your way and all the ballots are hand counted and you lost, you idiots would still scream voter fraud.
Exactly.
