The Democratic primaries have been a de facto referendum on ‘socialism’ and the left-of-center agenda – an agenda Democrats have overwhelmingly rejected.

Bernie has one last hope, the debate on Sunday.

Just as other candidates saw big swings (up and down) after a strong debate, this is Bernies last chance to contrast his vision with Bidens and battle him. It was clear to me he didn't have it in him to fight after the Establishment dropped out to hurt him, but, he might surprise me.

Is Bernie in it to win it? Is his candidacy just theater? Is Bernie making fools of the Bernie Bros who love him so passionately?

Who knows? I know the DNC were going to make sure he wasn't the candidate though. I think that was clear for some time.

Unfortunately for Biden, they impeached Trump, now there is reason for a much bigger focus on this when Trump debates him. Trump only likes to win. Biden is going to have his hands full.

I think the DNC really did screw over Sanders in 2016 but this year I have to say I'm not sure Sanders even wanted to win. After he got hammered on Super Tuesday his campaign really did nothing to change the tide they had to know he was going to have to go on the offensive against Biden and really go after him and they didn't and in my view we are seeing the results of that tonight.

Bernie got screwed again. I have a client who is a college professor and a strong Bernie supporter. He told me today if Biden gets the nomination he's voting for Trump and will urge his students to do so as well. He doesn't know I'm a Trump supporter, thinks I'm a "non-committed" voter (lol). Biden had been polling the highest against Trump on RCP at +6.5

I'm not sure how useful that poll is since it really only comes down to about 4 or 5 states anyway. But it is interesting to see that Democrat voters appear to be backing what would probably be considered the "safer" candidate when going up against Trump.

Here are how the others polled against Trump prior to dropping out.

Biden vs Trump: +6.5
Sanders vs Trump: +4.9
Bloomberg vs Trump: +3.9
Buttigieg vs Trump: +2.0
Warren vs Trump: +2.0

My question is if the Bernie Bros milleinials will vote at all, because so far they're not showing up in the primary election like Bernie was hoping. Maybe that means they're disinterested in voting, like they always are, or maybe they just don't care who wins the primary and will show up in the general election?

Not sure. I would guess somewhere in the middle.
