Looks like Americans need to learn about Trump the hard way

Which is why we're truly fucked in this country.
.

Thay's why you might be able to understand why I voted for President Trump in 2016.
I didn't vote for him to 'fix things' ... I voted for him to 'break things'.
You need to break the cycle ... And expose the crap before you can fix anything.

He did ... And will again ... Get out of the way rookie ... :auiqs.jpg:

.

Your post seems needlessly alarmist. There were similar "the sky is falling" claims when Trump was #45 but the sky never fell.
.

Oh, we're going to hear the Chicken Little act from them for a very long time, but none of them are going to turn down lower grocery and fuel prices.

.

You wrote all that because you think people didn't already KNOW who TRUMP! is? We had 4 years of him being in office, attacked on a daily basis, and we saw the hysterical predictions about what he would do fall dead by the wayside. But, for sure, yup, he's gonna do it this time, for sure, just wait and see.
72+ million and they still write this like they have a say. amazing they didn't get that the results were for Trump because people indeed wanted him over their dumbass empty headed candidate dropped in behind democracy. He champions no democracy, wasn't expecting Trump to finish.

My prediction is that this presidency will be more or less the same as the last one. A decent economy and no new wars but no mass deportations, no swamp draining, and no wall.

I've never put any faith in the government to drastically change my life or that of the country, so 99% of this 'fix it' stuff is BS political theater. I'm simply not wired to want to break things. There needs to be order in government and society for it to function. The branches serve important roles. Everyone thinks they 'know better'.

Hint: They don't. But will see how MAGA fucks things up again this time.

There needs to be order in government and society for it to function.
.

I understand your shortcomings ... And why you are always bitching about how fucked we are.
When is your retarded ass going to figure out that there is an order in our government and society?

I want something different than the current order ...
Your way sucks and keeps providing us with the same old bullshit you constantly bitch about ...
And you're too damn stupid to recognize that.

What the fuck did you think I meant when I posted ... "Get out of the way rookie" ... :auiqs.jpg:

I'm not giving you this country you fucking retard ... :auiqs.jpg:
I like the way the last election went ... And why would I want to move.

If you don't love American ...
If you don't think we should be a Sovereign Nation with secure boarders ...
If you don't support limiting the Federal Government to the 18 Enumerated Powers in our Constitution. ...
Then you can get the fuck out ...

Edit:
And if the next election doesn't go my way ...
I'm still not going to give you this country.

You have no moral high ground to lecture me on anything to do with this country because your tribe simply won an election. Get over yourself.

In a second Trump presidency, expect a scorched earth approach that could fundamentally reshape America and the world for the worse. "America First" will mean isolationism that abandons allies, fuels economic volatility, and drains American power abroad. Massive deportations won’t just disrupt millions of lives; they’ll dismantle industries, fracture communities, and create a humanitarian disaster that will tarnish the U.S. globally. Trump’s soft stance on Russia will only embolden Putin, with Trump likely abandoning Ukraine to destruction and threatening European security. A domino effect could follow -- China eyeing Taiwan, emboldened by America’s retreat, (and they are eying Okinawa islands, as well ) seizing control of the semiconductor industry and holding the U.S. at technological gunpoint.

Most nations have had to endure a demagogue to learn -- often through unbearable hardship -- the brutal consequences of unchecked power and the empty allure of populist rhetoric. Germany had Hitler, who promised national pride and left his country in ruins. Italy’s Mussolini sold visions of empire that led to disaster. Argentina saw Perón, who polarized the nation and left it grappling with his divisive legacy. Spain endured Franco’s authoritarian grip, Venezuela Chávez’s ruinous policies. And in Russia, under Stalin, democracy never stood a chance; his totalitarian control meant that the people had no opportunity to reject his tyranny at the ballot box.

Now, America too seems determined to learn the hard way about the dark force of demagoguery. Some might say, “But Trump’s first term didn’t bring the sky down.” What they overlook is that the first time, he was held in check by seasoned figures -- McMaster, Kelly, Milley, Bolton, Barr, et. al., -- the “adults in the room” who served as guardrails. This time, they’re gone. Trump will fill his ranks with sycophants, loyalists without the spine to question or halt his impulses. He’ll have nothing but yes-men willing to serve him without question and he will pepper his cabinet ranks with his oligarch buddies who will 'deconstruct the administrative state'. like termites enjoy a feast. The polluter corporations will love this, as they destroy our climate, our air, our rivers and lakes and precious soil. Expect rampant corruption and transactionalism. With his newfound belief in “absolute immunity,” he’ll feel emboldened to act without limits, trying things he never dared before. And with those private calls to Putin, he’ll have a seasoned mentor to guide him through “Dictator 101” lessons.

So yes, history repeats itself, and we seem condemned to follow it. Like Germany, Argentina, Spain, and so many others, America might face devastation and finally come to understand the full cost of demagoguery, what it's like to live under autocratic rule. I don't expect we'll become a full fledged dictatorship, but let's be clear, Trump will try and exploit any and every weakness that exists in our system that he can get away with, where the framers assumed the president would be a man who would act in good faith. Man, how wrong they were! And maybe, if we’re lucky, we’ll survive the wreckage, inoculated and wiser for it -- if we can find our way free from his grip in time. So, you think this OP is partisan tripe? Time will most certainly tell. Let's see where we stand in a few years, and watch Dems regain control of the house in the next midterms, as by then, America will see, up close and personal. what this MAGA movement is really about.

  • "As democracy is perfected, the office of the President represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be occupied by a downright fool and a complete narcissistic moron." -- H.L. Mencken
No truer words could more perfectly describe the rise of Trump.

Now, repubs are going to gloat, and pontificate why Trump won. But, he pandered to the lowest instincts of Americans, he did what all demagogues do; blame our troubles on a group. Hitler did it with Jews, and Trump has done it with immigrants, totally ignoring the fact that the undocs commit far fewer crimes than American citizens, but facts don't matter to a demagogue, the only thing that matters is power, and the more, the merrier. Also, the second big tool he bludgeoned Biden/Harris with was inflation. But for the inflation, given that it's undecideds who decide close elections, Republicans did a good job of bamboozling the masses by blaming the inflation on Biden, never mind the fact that it was CARES act, $2 trillion fiat currency infusion (that was Trump) AND the ARP, another $2 Trillion by Biden, both were done because of the pandemic, and were necessary to prevent and economic collapse, this was the prime mover for the inflation, not to mention the inflation was world wide, and you can't blame Biden for a world wide inflation, but to tell the truth is not something Republicans can do. Also, I fault Biden and Harris for not making this point clear, and they sure as hell could have, and should have.

But for the inflation, I doubt Trump would have won the popular vote, most voted on economics more than any other factor. A lot more than any other factor. It totally obfuscated Biden's major legislative achievements, predominantly the infrastructure program. For the first time since Eisenhower we are rebuilding America, as there are some 60,000 infrastructure projects as we speak. Trump, in his four years as president, with both houses under his thumb, was unable to achieve it. Biden got it done bipartisan in his first 300 days. That totally dismantles the 'he's got dementia' argument. Yeah, you don't agree but I don't give a damn, really, I've heard it all and it's all partisan drivel. If anyone has dementia, it's Trump -- have you been paying attention to his speeches? He's losing it. I doubt he is going to last four years, to be honest.

Yeah, I know, some of you are going to give mindless snarky dumb AF one liners to this OP, and you will be ignored because, frankly, if you voted for Trump, you are not very wise. You've been conned, you've been trump humped. Note that intelligence and wisdom, if they exist in the same human being, it is a coincidence, If you don't believe me, let's see where we stand during the midterms. Two years ought to reveal how Trump is going to ruin America.
Hillary lost, get over it.. 😀

Then move to a different country. :dunno:
Neil moved to Panama and was in the tour business. Then he went bust. HE claims he sold the business but since his son capitalized him, I will ask him if this was true. Neil is an American I happen to know who does not vote at all. He won't due to his religion. Neil moved from NY to CA. After his divorce, I was the 2nd husband after Neil so I took care of his 4 children. His 2nd son financed him his 2nd son told me when I went to Hawaii last year. Neils business is reported by the Tour program as shut down. Even when you move, you will carry American cash with you. Biden fucked up and had to go. Biden agreed by quitting. Kamala who never had the talent to be president was rejected by America.

Massive deportations won’t just disrupt millions of lives; they’ll dismantle industries, fracture communities, and create a humanitarian disaster that will tarnish the U.S. globally.
Why didn't Obama invite them in as did Biden? Why did Clinton reject them? How did we survive not having millions of illegal aliens? Why did democrats allow illegal aliens to shove aside legal migrants?

You have no moral high ground to lecture me on anything to do with this country because your tribe simply won an election. Get over yourself.
.

I am not looking for Moral High Ground ...
Because I am not self-righteous pomas asshole who thinks that could be an adequate substitute for responsible governance.

You're the one that is claiming moral superiority ...
But ... I'm glad you're not attempting to lecture me ... Because your ideas are vapid, nonproductive and ambiguous ...
It's not that I need to 'get over myself' ... As much as it is that you need to understand that you are outmatched.
While you have so far demonstrated you lack the intellectual capacity to understand what I just posted.

I'm having fun raking you over the coals ... You might want to up your game a little ... :auiqs.jpg:

I didn’t vote for Trump this year or in 2020; but he’s definitely far closer to me ideologically than Harris ever was. I’m interested to see what he can and does do… especially if the Republicans retain the House. I can only hope he does what he says he’s going to do. Even if it tanks the economy, getting our social order back on track is a far greater need in my mind.

Because I am not self-righteous pomas asshole who thinks that could be an adequate substitute for responsible governance.

Bluster. Enjoy your win. :itsok: Stay in your lane.
While you have so far demonstrated you lack the intellectual capacity to understand what I just posted.
Because 'Orange man is our savior' is a super sophisticated take.

You realize the Man was President before, right?

No wars, men didn’t compete in womens sports, and when a parent complained about porn in the middle schools, they were thanked for bringing it to the attention of the board, not accused of being a Nazi book burner.

You got guts, but 💩 for brains.
That interesting, at least my brains, unlike yours, knows the facts.
And the facts are:

Trump handed Biden a nation in shambles, and Biden will hand the next president a remarkable economy

Biden will leave Trump a remarkable economy:

Let's see how bad he will fuck it up, this time, just in time for the midterms. We took the house back last time Trump won, remember?

Why? Because he's a moron.

A lot of folks forgot, and the newcomers didn't do their homework.

They just saw inflation, and blamed it on Biden. The deciding middle are notoriously simpleton and wishy washy. The sad fact about democracy, is that the wishy washy often decide elections, and are easy prey to demagogues. If you don't believe Trump is a demagogue, you either don't know what the term means, is, or you haven't been paying attention, or both.

Of those men who have overturned the liberties of republics, the greatest number have begun their career by paying an obsequious court to the people; commencing demagogues, and ending tyrants." --Federalist No. 1, 1787
