Really, is that what you call voting to impeach a president before any investigations happened? I mean, she is entitled to her own opinion, but, she is a part of the group of people who impeached Trump for J6, before really knowing exactly what happened. And then became a part of the committee that began thr investigation AFTER they had already impeached him. Cheney herself said she would do whatever she could to keep Trump from running for office.
It's no secret that Liz cheney and Trump have been in a fued with each other. This whole thing with cheney is more than likely based on her personal issues with Trump. This wasn't about country before party, this was about Liz before country.
What utter tripe! The Second Impeachment of Trump could not wait for any “investigation”! It was completely warranted after Jan. 6th.
The increasingly unstable Trump was still Commander-in-Chief for another two weeks! There was no time for a b.s. “investigation”! Trump’s pardoned buddy General Mattis was already talking openly about declaring Martial Law. The increasingly unstable Trump had failed to stop the official registering of the validated 50 state electoral college count thanks only to V.P. Pence, but he still could have caused untoward harm to our Republic.
The Second Impeachment was necessary to keep Trump on the defensive and discourage any more craziness from his partisans. Unfortunately the Repubs — even most of those who were horrified by Trump’s actions — hadn’t the backbone to do the right thing and rid the country (and their own party) of this megalomaniac once and for all.
P.S. To make this out as a “personality difference” between Trump & Liz Cheney is typically superficial MAGAnut deflection.
