The whole problem with your premise is that sexual orientation and identity can be taught. That no one would be LGBTQ if there weren't someone out there teaching them about it. Except, of course, people were gay even in societies where that could get you KILLED..

Again, it's a flaw with the reasoning that this sort of thing can be taught. There probably aren't any more now than there were 50 years ago- about 10% of the population.

Your argument would have much more weight if they couldn't find ACTUAL sexually explicit gay porn (or straight porn) with a few clicks of a mouse. Of course, we are talking about one passage in a book that is mostly about the experience of one man growing up gay, most of it not being sexual.
