Even their very own liberal studies show the value of leaving California. You leave, you save a crapload of money. You move there you lose a crapload of money. No wonder most have decided to leave.

New data from UC Berkeley strongly suggest that for people of limited incomes who moved out of the Golden State, taking part in the California exodus can bring dramatically improved financial conditions.

The researcher studied the finances of people who left California over the last decade to see how well they did in their new communities. The California Policy Lab research covered people who left or arrived in California from 2016 to 2025 — millions in total. They generally left for nearby states such as Nevada and Arizona, but also for hot locales such as Texas and Florida...

Before leaving California, those who left paid on average $2,376 in monthly housing costs. After relocating to another state, former Californians spent just $1,705 per month, a drop of $671. Those who moved from other states to California saw the opposite impact, with costs rising a similar amount.

“Pretty much anywhere else is more affordable than California,” said White, the author of the report. “People were going to dramatically less expensive locations.”

California, New York, Massachusetts, etc are finding out. Of course they were warned but leftists are slow learners
New York's governor has resorted to begging the rich to move back, not by saying she will reverse their policies but by appealing to their sense of decency that they realize they should be glad to pay more taxes in order to help out those who refuse to work and be deadbeats in a variety of ways. So far I don't think that's working.

Boy oh boy when U said "SLOW LEARNERS" u could not have said a more truthful statement for sure!!! With a 100% absolute failure rate throughout recorded history it's small wonder that normal folks that possess the ability to lead their own lives in a peaceful existence look @ the pathetic statist lefties in total disbelief. To be trapped in abject fear of everything as a prisoner of ones own mind is the worst horror I can imagine.

Yeah, WA democrats decided they were going to cut a fat hog in the butt with a millionaires tax and the millionaires are wasting no time leaving the state while the unconstitutional income tax winds its way through the legal system.

This isn't new data.

Most states are more affordable than California.
But you have to be able to get an equivalent job in that state.

What a horrible shame leftwingers have ruined that beautiful state. Years ago, we talked about retiring to Encinitas or Carlsbad at some point. No more. West Virginia is looking like a much saner option.

You can do the tech stuff anywhere. My son works for a company based in CA, but doesn't have to live there. He's famously conservative. In college, a bunch of 'green' students were going around the dorms, asking people to turn off their power for one hour to protest fossil fuels. He asked them how they intended for him to do his homework as a CS major. He then added that he felt fossil fuels should be celebrated and turned on a few extra lights for them.

There are no words available to describe the current tragic situation the statist lefties have got themselves into, like they can't even believe in themselves individually so they have to put their faith into an ideology that has a history of abject failure, like WOWIE!

At least the big cities keep the loony leftoids out of the back country.

Some, yes, indeed. The Daughter in law leads a team and none of them live in the same city. Its why the Boy can interview anywhere in the US and Canadialand.

Theyre being kind. Where is the part the place is for sale to foreigners and/or corporations backed by wealthy leftists for quasi-communism at the expense of common us citizens?

Wealthy leaving too, they turned my neighborhood into primairily million plus each, location location as the say. **** one place recently spent 500k just 4 landscape. I did mine for 18k including 550 fence long ago, its beautiful, hill requires retaining and more built. I built a 250 foot rockwall, BA boulders and pine trees, BA rock channels, and cheap annual irrigation cuz I know and care....plants everywhere, cheapest water bill here by lots, looks like a forest, and bottom grass and rock.. I like building stuff. I paid 236 for the place long ago.......Who cares, wtf am I going.... I do want my kids in their places soon, ca. exodus push prices......

ca about bought up north side tahoe too, bigget money.....fkrs...those left have lived there generations....ca. want to change it too, I get 2 hear about it...I go back to bonanza,.....well before California Ways trashed the beaches. Even private community beach had turn genders seeking attention, big group of them. Fk, I only went there twice, somewhat recently.... spent a lot of time there as a young boy. at least the beach clean, others are often thrashed, drug pariphilia included...disrespecting fk fks

That's democrats:
  • REPUBLICANS: prosperity, safety and security leading to a better life.
  • DEMOCRATS: we need to make sacrifices, tighten our belts, do without to save the planet and provide for millions of others not even citizens here.
