The problem with all that is saddam himself proved he had wmd's when he gassed his own people, the Kurds. You libs cry about Bush going into Iraq and it was a DIMWIT, lbj, that propelled us into vietnam. It was clinton's cia that lied to Bush.We invaded Iraq because of administration spin
We invaded Iraq because it was a threat to us
We invaded Iraq because they had WMDs
We invaded Iraq because they didn't follow UN resolution 1441
We invaded Iraq because they didn't allow UN inspectors
We invaded Iraq because they had ties to Al Qaeda
We invaded Iraq because Saddam was a evil man
We invaded Iraq because of fear after 911
We invaded Iraq to free the Iraqi people
We invaded Iraq to prevent a 'mushroom cloud'
We invaded Iraq to form a democracy in the middle east
We invaded Iraq because fear is a greater power than reason
We invaded Iraq because they had WMDs
No WMDs were ever found in Iraq except in the minds of those who can find imaginary anythings anywhere if it supports their position. And Saddam had no ties with al queda. If one's moral calculus justifies the invasion based on reason, even humanitarian reasons, could we not have invaded a nation where lives may have been saved?
"The release by Wikileaks of some 400,000 pages of official Iraq war documents has ripped the lid finally and forever off what must surely become known as one of the largest lawless actions by a presidential administration in all of American history. The documents prove, beyond all doubt, that Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rove, Rice and the rest of them deliberately led this nation down a nearly-unprecedented path of infamy. The only comparable criminal act was the grindhouse of Vietnam, which spanned five presidencies, left millions dead and enshrined the so-called "defense" industry as the biggest money players in the American political game. What was done in and to Iraq has not yet risen to the level of what happened in Southeast Asia, but it is right up there, and the Wikileaks documents hammer this fact home with no remorse and no room left for doubt."
