Let's Build an Amp Cradle

Let's get jiggy with it!

I built this fixture out of scrap. It kind of nests the piece at the right depth.

I'm going to try to rip cut this by hand.

Not liking this at all.

Wavy as ****, even with the jig.

This would've been so much easier on a vertical bandsaw.

As it is, this is only a rest for my amp chassis cradle, and it doesn't have to be perfect.

Some people use old bricks or even paint cans.

Still.

Maybe I can even it out later.

I admire your sand in trying. Me, I would not even attempt it without first hogging it out in some sort of band saw, then putting the fine finish and final shape on it using a milling machine.

If only.

However, I don't have access to either.

Update. I am scrapping this effort. Too ashamed to even share the reason why.

Let's just say I lost patience and my reciprodating saw was involved.

Fucked again.
