Letitia James receives SUBPOENA from the DOJ for violating President Trumps' civil rights.

Fraud is fraud. Lies are lies.

I know you folks give a pass to Trump. That's up to you.
The "fraud" was the Letitia James case in the first place! There is a reason why that farce of a trial will be overturned on appeal, Mac. The fact that Tish would spend millions in tax payer money going after someone who wasn't guilty of fraud when she in fact WAS guilty of it boggles the mind! Is there a Democrat prosecutor that ISN'T dirty as all get out?

What boggles the mind is your belief in that horseshit.

A New York jury on Thursday found Donald Trump guilty on all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records — the first time a former U.S. president has been convicted of a crime.

Invented for stooges like yourself and it'll be overturned on appeal... the judge was corrupt , the prosecutor is corrupt, the whole thing is a joke but you keep clinging to that stupidity....fool

He he he....... appeals court sounding sympathetic to Trump's motion to move the case to federal court.

Probably don't need this circus on their docket.

Her and Jack Smith were the biggest out of line grandstanders and I’m looking forward to their just punishments

Um...don't hold your breath. Not that I'm saying justice shouldn't be equal but....nothing will come of this. Because..dem....it will be dismissed with no charges.

Again, they are rarely held accountable for their actions

This will be awesome. She can force Trump officials and NRA officials to bear witness and rehash why they lost. When they all start pleading the Fifth it will look like a circus. She could run for higher office on this. Awesomesauce!
How do you figure. Their trials are over. This will be all about her actions.

Though I do agree, nothing will come of it. She'll get off without a scratch because...thats just what dems do

Can you imagine her calling Wayne "I paid for my escort's apartment out of NRA funds" LaPierre to the stand. Juicy!
Why would she do that? Their crimes have nothing to do with hers

Now THIS is ACTUAL lawfare.

Hey. I have a 30,000 square foot apartment in Trump Tower to sell you. Cheap.

.
What tish did was lawfare also. She campaigned on suing trump even before she had anything to sue him for. The whole real estate thing didnt come out til after she had won the election, but she campaigned on trying to find ways to sue trump.

Figure the odds, you zipperhead.

Remember these words: "I look forward to going to work every day, suing trump, and then going home" - Letitia James

These words were spoken before she had any crime to sue him for.

Justice Dept. Subpoenas Office of Letitia James, Who Sued Trump for Fraud

The Justice Department has opened an investigation into one of President Trump’s longtime adversaries, Attorney General Letitia James of New York, examining whether her office violated his civil rights in its successful fraud suit against him, according to three people with knowledge of the matter.

The acting U.S. attorney in Albany sent Ms. James’s office two subpoenas, one of which was related to the civil fraud case, which led to Mr. Trump being penalized more than half a billion dollars.

The second subpoena is related to the office’s long-running case against the National Rifle Association, the people said. Ms. James sued the organization in 2020, winning the ouster of its longtime leader, Wayne LaPierre, and sharply diminishing its power.

Two of the people familiar with the matter said that the new subpoenas were part of a broader investigation to determine whether the office violated Mr. Trump’s rights or those of others. It is a highly unusual use of a civil rights law more typically used to investigate potential racial, religious or sex discrimination, among other categories.

.........goes beyond the undeniable weaponization of the DoJ by trump and Bondi. The explanation also includes the unprecedented fact that the POTUS is a convicted criminal. At no time in our history has a prez had such a compliant AG willing to enable retribution against members of the justice system who sought to hold the prez accountable for his crimes.

James is far from the only one. There was another round of terminations among FBI officials yesterday.

More heads roll at FBI

The Trump administration has launched another purge at the FBI, forcing out three law enforcement veterans including a former head of the agency, according to two people familiar with the developments.

Former acting director Brian Driscoll, Assistant Director in Charge of the Washington Field Office Steven Jensen, and Washington-based Special Agent Walter Giardina were informed they are being fired, according to the two people, who were not authorized to discuss the matter. Formal paperwork is expected to be issued Friday.

Then there's Jack Smith.

About that Jack Smith investigation

JACK SMITH’s time has finally come.

The U.S. Office of Special Counsel last week launched an investigation into the man who brought two federal criminal cases against DONALD TRUMP in 2023.

But the investigation appears to be a thinly veiled political stunt aimed at placating the president, who has promised to seek retribution against the former Justice Department special counsel.

The probe focuses on whether Smith used his position as a federal government employee to engage in political activities in violation of the Hatch Act. It comes after Senate Intelligence Chair TOM COTTON (R-Ark.) requested that OSC investigate Smith for “unprecedented interference in the 2024 election.” The office, an independent agency in the executive branch, investigates whistleblower complaints and alleged violations of civil service laws. It is separate from DOJ special counsels who are appointed by the attorney general to handle politically sensitive cases.

The inquiry raises a number of questions, including: what conduct, if any, by Smith might be considered political; how the OSC could even punish him; and what Trump’s ultimate aim could be.

The conditioned response by trump's defenders is invariably to invoke specious whataboutisms. Making accusations about things Biden or Obama did wholly lacking supporting evidence. Essentially, a recitation of lies and fallacious right wing talking points that are gospel inside the parallel universe existing outside the realm of reality. The comfort they provide keeping trump fans from feeling the need to address the here and now. Perhaps because the here and now is indefensible.
The big lie is the ways you loons tried to jail Trump, because you knew you couldn't beat him. Fair and square.

She not only focused on the person before she knew there was a crime (which is unethical) but she went about trying to create crimes that didn't exist.

That is against the law.

Dems (black dems in particular) aren't savvy enough to hide the money trail because they never thought that there would ever be any repercussions. That and their skin color would protect them.
If you remember, the bulk of the "lawfare" wave always had a minority face assigned to it [save Jack Smith] in case somebody had to pay a price for this strategy going south, now, as is always the case, white liberals can just sit back and play their favorite card game...
...in the case of Jack Smith they [white liberals] wanted someone they felt they could count on in the bigger scheme of things, so of course they went with who they felt best represented that need...a white republican/conservative.

I believe that her trial will be in Albany, NY.
So even if she is found guilty the NY appeals court will get her off, plus, NY will pay for her lawyers, so the biggest benefit will be the proof that she ran on lawfare against Trump, and used it, yet she got off scott-free for the same "crime".
Banana Republic style.

This should be a slam dunk

Is there any doubt the Founders did not contemplate a prez with the DoJ at his complete disposal to seek revenge against those who would have seen him go to jail?

This must be every convicted criminal's dream. Having the power to command the might of the federal government to punish those who he sees as former threats and adversaries.

Again, we told you all, one day that would come back around. Today is that day. Its just too bad you all were so quick to pile on the wagon when it was a republican being ran over by the wheels. Now the Republicans control the wagon and you all are complaining that the wagon is too heavy.

But you all dont have anything to worry about. This will cycle through main stream media for a few weeks, then blow over. Nobody will hold her accountable.
